I am a recent recipient of dual Masters in Education and Special Education from Lesley University. I earned my masters while working full time, so I understand the value of time management and try to be as flexible as possible with my students. I have tutored students ranging from elementary schoolers with basic reading skills to college students with 19th century European history to success. My passion is to increase understanding in my students.
I graduated in May of 2011 from the University of North Carolina-Asheville with a Bachelors of Arts in History and Political Science. At UNC-Asheville I had been a tutor to my fellow students and, in cooperation with a local non-profit, had been an after school tutor in a nearby public housing community. I currently am a teacher in Baltimore City and have been for the last three years.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
