I am an EIPA Certified Educational Interpreter. I have worked with Deaf and Hard of Hearing students in both elementary and high school levels for seven years. I have taught classes in basic ASL for community education programs. I am currently a graduate student for a master's degree in special education and teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. I have worked both in the west and the east so am familiar with regional differences (accents) in ASL. I love to pass to others this dynamic language that is rich with expression and culture.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
