I wish Faith taught every subject! She tutored me for college chemistry and explained things much better than my professor even could. She picked up easily on my errors when it came to equations and showed me how best to do each and every problem with ease. She was able to personalize each problem and explain and show how to do it based on how I learned and understood throughout our weekly meetings. I am so lucky to have found Faith for she truly helped me earn my A that I am so proud of. Thank you Faith!
Faith was a great tutor. She was amazing at being able to explain things that I couldn't understand. She could explain how to do a problem step by step and make it possible to understand what I should do when I was faced with a problem on my own. Faith was really easy to talk to and that made me more comfortable to ask stupid questions. She was even willing to work around my crazy schedule and have lessons early in the morning or late at night. Faith was a wonderful tutor.
Faith C. was very helpful and willing to help. She was easy to get in touch with if any help was needed. She has a strong background in Chemistry and is able to explain concepts so the student can better understand. She works hard and cares about how the student is performing. I recommend her as a tutor.
I realized about a week and a half before my Chemistry final that there was no way I was going to pass - I didn't understand anything and was failing the class. Faith made the time to meet with me 3 times the week before the exam and helped me understand Chemistry. I passed the exam and the class. Faith was patient and made things very clear, without her I would not have passed.
Faith is a first rate tutor. Her vast knowledge of the subject (chemistry) allowed her to tailor the lessons and review sessions to bring the most benefit to my daughter. They worked together to prepare for the AP exam and are confident in the pending outcome. In addition, Faith is an excellent role model for all students being so well educated at such a young age.
Faith is an excellent tutor. She is always prepared for each lesson and explains the material in a comprehensive manner. She is also able to help with school assignments relating to the topic of study.
She helped me improve my test scores in school and trained me for the SAT Chemistry Subject Test and the AP Chemistry Exam.
I would highly recommend Faith as a Chemistry tutor.
After 2 lessons, our daughter has gone from being frustrated with chemistry to helping her classmates. Looking forward to continued success.
Faith tutored me when I began struggling in my first college chemistry course. She was able to clearly explain all the chemistry concepts covered in this course. Faith was nice, knowledgeable, and patient, but more importantly was able to present the material in a way that was very easy for me to understand. With her help, I ended up doing well in the course! I highly recommend Faith as a chemistry tutor.
I went to Faith last year for help with organic chemistry II. I needed the help BADLY and she was able to provide that for me. Without her help, I don't know if I would have been able to pass the course. She was available, even on weekend mornings, to sit down with me and help me through my struggles. Faith is a very patient tutor, and was able to break down the material into terms that I could understand. When I would get a test back, we would go over it together in order for me to improve for the next test. I highly recommend Faith to anyone who needs help in any chemistry course (especially organic chem!) She saved me from having to retake that course!
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have both tutored and taught chemistry for over a decade now. This includes high school chemistry (both college prep and AP levels) and college chemistry (general chemistry, both semesters and all levels and organic chemistry). My students love the way I am able to simplify complex concepts and organize the information in an easily understood manner.
I have my PhD in organic chemistry from UConn. While in graduate school, I tutored (general and organic) and also consistently had undergraduate students working in my lab assisting with my research. Working with students either in a tutoring capacity or mentoring in the lab is something I have been doing for 10 years now and is something that I truly enjoy.
