Hi my name is Jason W. and I thank you for visiting my profile. I am a former educator in the Waterbury School system, a Special Education advocate, a professional writer, a former director of family services of an early childhood program, a former Computer Network Operator and I have been a minister for nearly 23 years. What does this all mean? I care about people, I am a proficient communicator, I am technologically savvy and I can help you.
As a special education advocate my desire is to work with you and your family to ensure that that your child with special needs is receiving all of the supports afforded him/her by the law. If you choose me I will work with you to help you understand your child's IEP. I will help prepare you for your child's PPT. I will even attend the PPT with you as a support and mediator to help the entire team do what is best for your child. Navigating the special education process can be a stressful, confusing and emotional experience. I have met with great success in helping families through the experience.
As a professional writer my focus is the tech industry though I enjoy other forms of writing as well. I have specialized knowledge in Microsoft products including Windows 10 and Office. Should you upgrade to Windows 10? How do you upgrade? What's Cortana? If you have questions I'll have answers.
Also as a writer I'll help you put your thoughts into words. If you want to connect with your audience and make an impact the words you choose matter. Who you choose to help you choose those words also matters. :-)
Again thank you for choosing my profile. You've "met" me. I trust I'll be meeting you soon.
I am a professional writer for the largest Microsoft focused website. My work is placed on a platform that services over 5 million unique site visitors per month. In addition to the long form analytical pieces I write professionally I am also a poet creative writer and public speaker (minister). These skills and experiences combined with my experience as a elementary school educator and my passion for education well equip me for this task.
As a special education advocate I have work with families to bridge the divide between themselves and the school staff. Families often find advocating for their child a very difficult experience. I have worked with many families, and a number of school districts to help facilitate the best outcome for the child. This may have been in the form of a revised IEP, additional supports or testing, establishing special education services and more. My even temper, aptitude toward a team focused approach and ability to mediate difficult situations are an asset to supporting families with children with special needs.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I am an ordained minister and the assistant pastor of my local church.
I have been in the ministry for nearly 23 years and currently and have served in a teaching capacity for various ages, from children to adults, during that time. I have taken bible education courses through an accredited program and successfully passed my catechism with a score of 100%.
I am a passionate bible teacher who teaches weekly, and enjoys helping others understand the Word of God!
