Naugatuck Valley Community College (Biology)
I am an environmental science major with a passion for Biology, chemistry, and mathematics.
I am a person with a passion for inspiring students of all age groups. I am always happy to meet and work with new people. Your success as a student is my priority. I want to understand how you best learn and provide you with the tools you need to succeed. I have been tutoring in varying degrees since I was in high school.
My goal is to give students an intuitive understanding of the world around them.
As a math tutor I provide students with the tools necessary to form algorithms and discover relationships between numbers rather than memorize multiplication tables. I am excited to see you or your child excel in mathematics.
The sciences have always intrigued me. It is important to me to be able to show people what science really is. I am extremely comfortable talking about science and want to help you learn scientific vocabulary as well as understand the mechanisms of scientific concepts.
The comfort of my students is also very important, you can pick a time and place that is convenient for you for your tutoring sessions. I enjoy working out of public libraries so that any recourse you need is available. I am an environmental science major with a passion for Biology, chemistry, and mathematics.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
