Exceeding Expectations!
Steven has exceeded my expectations for a personal math tutor for my teenage son. Steven is professional, personable and very patient; above all, he is proficient in math, and in teaching math. In just two lessons he was able to discern my son's weaknesses and his learning style. From there Steven has been able to adapt his teaching to accommodate these factors. Steven easily captures and engages my son's attention and makes him feel confident about his work, which gives my son a great sense of accomplishment. Thank You Steven!! Update 5/18/14: Thanks to Steven we have a confident teenage son who looks forward to math class and math tutoring. His grade has skyrocketed and he now enjoys downloading math apps and winning. First meeting, excellent first impression!
Steven tutored my 6th grade son for the first time yesterday evening. My son hasn't responded well to family members trying to work with him and in fact would usually get quite frustrated and upset. He seemed so relaxed and confident after meeting with Steven for just an hour. He said he was so nice and my son said, "I didn't feel totally dumb when I didn't know how to do something". He said Steven just nicely and calmly showed him how to do it! Refreshing to see my son not being a basket case after working on math problems! I'll post more when I see his overall improvement after some more sessions. Update: I now have my 15 year old daughter seeing Steven as well. After her first meeting with him a few months back, she aced her test. She loves his tutoring style! Both of my kids have benefited greatly from their tutoring sessions and are doing great!

Steven Makes a Great First Impression
We've only had one session so far, but we are getting on a regular schedule. I am not sure exactly how but in one hour my son's confidence level in his math skills skyrocketed. Steven was able to take a few concepts that he was struggling with and make them so easy to understand the my son was laughing at how easy it was. I am not a big review guy - but Steven is already worth every penny - I am buying a package today! Update: It's been a few months now and my son's confidence in his math skills continues to grow. I just received a text from school after his last math test, "We just finished the test and Steven is a psychic. She just showed me my score and I got 100% and I got a recommendation from the school to take AP classes next year because of my PSAT scores". I am not saying Steven did it all but he deserves a ton of credit. Thank you Steven. Update (2/7/2014): My son continues to flourish in math and I believe that it has everything to do with his work with Steven. He has not only learned to apply the tools and concepts he has learned from Steven, but he is now asked by his teachers on a regular basis to teach and explain the concepts to his classmates. I am not sure how we go so lucky our first time out - Steven has been a game changer for us. Thank you.
