I've been blessed with a 30+ year career in broadcasting, teaching English and Public Speaking at major universities and working with senior level executives of Fortune 500 companies as a presentation coach and public speaking tutor. It's not the big things we teach you that make the difference; it's the little things.
Public speaking is still the Number #1 fear among American adults, who have repeatedly voted it worse than an IRS audit or a root canal. I am a published author with a flair for the creative. I have taught Rhetoric at the university level for many years. Thus, I understand that good writers have focus, structure and establish an easy to read flow. The reader may even feel a bit disappointed when the work has ended, wanting more.

For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
It's not the big things that make a difference in good public speaking; it's the little things. Eye contact, an occasional smile and a hand gesture at strategically the right time can make all the difference in the world in a successful presentation.
I have taught public speaking at the university level for 15 years, as well as having tutored a number of national politicians and more than 200 senior executives of Fortune 500 companies.
Having spent more than 30 years as a high profile morning radio broadcaster, the transition to presentation coach and media trainer was an easy one.
Good public speaking is nothing more than an intellectual exercise in walking and chewing gum at the same time. I teach it with a combination of positive reinforcement, preparation and teaching focus, direction and organization.
