Salutations, seeker of assistance. My name is Leonardo P. and I love math and computer programming. So much so that I am willing to help other students that want to understand the material that can be struggling to grasp.
Credentials: I graduated from University of Hartford with a bachelor's in mathematics and a bachelor's in computer science. I have tutored for about 4 years in both private 1-on-1 sessions and as a group. I have even done a workshop for Calculus at the college level. I have helped many students in both math and computer science and wish to help you too.
About me and my teaching style: I am very much so a puzzle guy. I love puzzles and that's how I approach problems. Not all problems will be straight forward and sometimes it needs to be thought over before going again. How I like to tutor is by first seeing your thought process. Not everyone thinks the same and if we can weed out problematic habits, it can be done at the start. Then follows a demonstration, a walkthrough, and then a solo on the math end. As for computer science, it works in a similar fashion. I have a lot of patience. I understand things won't be understood right away. We shall take our time with the problem, but in an efficient and productive manner.
I have taught ACT/SAT sections at a tutoring center close to where I live. I do have a math degree and I have tutored at my college as well. Breaking things down and explaining the process is what I love to talk about.
