I am Dr. Peter. I believe teaching is an art form that has to be mastered. I believe it is like the relationship between a musician and his instrument. With confidence and without shame I can say boldly that I have mastered my instrument, which is teaching. I am a good student as learning is a life long engagement. Learning never stops. This is what makes me a good teacher. The Latin proverb says "Nemo dat quod non habet" meaning "You cannot give what you do not have." With about 15 years of university education, I bring a broad background in the Humanities to the table, I also bring an infectious joy to the learning process. To guide others, you have to know the way or have the temperament to encourage others to discover the way. I hold the Dip. Phil (Philosophy), BA (Philosophy), MA (Systematic Theology), MDIV (Divinity), Doctorate in Education (Ed.D) in Leadership and Administration and a Certificate in Latin (CIL). I graduated College as Class President and Valedictorian.
I have had the opportunity of being listed in Who is Who among Americas's Best Teachers and also have won the faculty award, "Instructor of the Year". I give my private time to community non profits that I head. I believe you do not have to suffer to learn. Learning is fun. I am the funmeister! I get people excited about learning. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
