Bio

My educational background consists of a Bachelors of Science in Physics, and a Master of Science in Education, specializing in Secondary Mathematics and Physics, a few graduate courses in Applied (Semi-Conductor) Physics from Yale University’s PhD program, a minor in Mathematics, along with 10+ years experience in the Electronics/Engineering industry. I am certified to teach both Mathematics and Physics for grades 7-12 in CT.

I currently have 12 years experience teaching high school mathematics. My strategies as teacher and tutor, is to promote an understanding of the concepts of the problem in order to formulate a solution strategy.

I am also an A+ certified technician with a specialization in Dos/Windows environments. This includes hardware and software installation, troubleshooting and repair. I have over ten years of experience in the electronics industry, and have a working knowledge of Basic, Dos, Perl, HTML, Java and JavaScript programming languages. With this background, I am more able to show the student applications of the ideas incorporated into the mathematics or physics problem.
