Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I am a CT certified K-6 teacher. I worked for 7 years in the Greenwich Public Schools as a classroom teacher, teaching assistant and tutor. For 5 of those years, I worked in special education. I worked with students who had IEP's by pushing into their classrooms and giving them extra support and pulling them out of their classrooms and working with them in the resource room.
