I fell in love with photography at the age of 16 and have devoted myself to the craft ever since. I have over twenty-five years experience in the field of commercial photography, and eight years as a fine art photographer with numerous exhibitions.
I love tutoring others in how to use their cameras properly, mastering lighting, and in processing those captured images in Adobe Photoshop. I can also help you with printing, book publishing, and exhibition preparations. Custom tutoring plans available after we do an assessment of your skill level and defining your main interests and challenges.

We reviewed basics of photography. Aperture, shutter, ISO, White balance. We also reviewed the specific functionality and use of my new camera. Donna is a professional studio photographer using Nikon equipment so this is her wheelhouse. Since she is a knowledgeable professional, she was able to walk me through the settings and buttons and functionality of my new Canon EOS 5 D. I enjoyed my lesson and found her engaging.
I had a very good first encounter with Donna. she made me feel comfortable immediately as if she knew me for long time. She is pleasant, but most of all knowledgeable.
Donna is an exceptional person and teacher. Shared her relevant professional work experience as well as recommended readings and links to web sites that can help me accomplish my goals. Her instruction was attuned to both my avocational and professional needs with the camera and with Photoshop.
Donna was very patient with me as I know very little about photography. She went through my camera with me step by step and helped me understand all the features. I also practiced using some of the features so I got hands on experience. We took some pictures to illustrate the different features also. All and all it was a very helpful 2 hours and I feel more equipped to experiment more with my camera. Thank you Donna!
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
