About Adrian

I am an experienced Jewish educator with decades of experience as a religious school director, teacher and tutor. I will be happy to tailor individual programs for bar/bat mitzvah preparation. I am comfortable preparing students in Reform, Conservative, Recontructionist and other liberal denominational settings, or in unaffiliated settings. (I have worked in all of those settings and more.) I am also happy to assist students in preparing their d'var Torah, or with general Judaics, Hebrew Bible and similar studies. I work with each student and their family to enable them to realize their full potential, and help them be prepared for a meaningful lifecycle event. I have a graduate degree (MTS) in theology from the Divinity School at Vanderbilt University.

In addition, I am an experienced musician and accomplished pianist who has been playing for 56 years and started at the age of 5 at the pre-college program of The Juilliard School. I am happy to work with students on their piano skills, tutoring and review of musical theory, solfege, vocal coaching, etc.

I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the North Carolina School of the Arts in theatrical design and production, and I am happy to work with students pursuing careers in the theater and entertainment world.

I am a graduate of the prestigious Bronx High School of Science, with a strong academic background enabling me to tutor students in a wide range of subject areas. In addition, I am qualified to help students and adult learners with a wide variety of computer programs and applications.
