As a classroom teacher, I offer explicit instruction on close reading strategies, vocabulary development, and organizational skills. These all tie into study skills. As a teacher and independent tutor, I've worked with students to help them tackle complex problems for SBAC and CMT state testing. It is important to help students dissect test question expectations, engage in flexible thinking, and transfer their knowledge between tasks. My background as a certified teacher and tutor qualifies me to teach students study skills.
