A connoisseur of the arts. It is my belief that teachers should not only teach what they know but what they love. I absolutely adore the subjects that I teach. I have been writing, reading, acting, creating, and vigorously pursuing my education for over 30 years. A connoisseur of the arts. It is my belief that teachers should not only teach what they know but what they love. I absolutely adore the subjects that I teach. I have been writing, reading, acting, creating, and vigorously pursuing my education for over 30 years. It is my personal mission to not only provide students with information but enthusiasm for what they are learning. I always find a way to get my students to relate to a subject, thereby, promoting individual creativity, information retention and academic success. Every student's success translates to a personal success I cherish.

Over the last twenty years I have successfully tutored countless students, boys and girls, aged 10-40, on numerous subjects. A B.A. in English and Theater make me particularly adept in tutoring students seeking to improve their writing skills, both creative and formal i.e. poetry, short stories, essays (all formats including APA),... Additionally, I am currently pursuing a Doctorate in Education which provides me with the appropriate tools to help students with numerous subject topics including but not limited to, European/ American History, Constitutional Law, Art History, Child Psychology, Abnormal Psychology, Ethics, and Critical Thinking.

I have maintained a 4.0 in all my English courses throughout my academic career. Additionally, I scored a 790 on the English section of my SATs taken in 1993 and earned a near perfect score on the college composition CLEP taken in 2015. Finally, I have an extensive writing portfolio with numerous samples of my writing both published and unpublished.

I have studied Theater since I was 6 years old. I am familiar with both modern and classical theater. Two of my children are very involved with their school's theater departments. I have worked with my children, their friends and the schools on improv, monologues, scenes, sogs, play selection, costuming, sound, set design, stage makeup and direction.

Anyone interested in improving their grades, preparing for tests, or perfecting a college essay while having fun and thinking critically should contact me A.S.A.P.!
