I am a recent graduate of Eastern Connecticut State University, where I earned my B.S. in Biology and completed the University Honors Program. My main expertise within the field of biology is ecology. I am also very passionate about conservation, evolution, microbiology, and human biology.

I have years of experience teaching biology to students ranging from elementary school to college. While at Eastern Connecticut State University, I gained experience teaching as the TA for Human Biology (BIO 203) and Physiological Ecology (BIO 448). I have also taught biology as an Educator at Connecticut's Beardsley Zoo. Both of these were incredibly rewarding experiences which allowed me to practice teaching biology in creative, dynamic ways.

Something many high school and undergraduate students struggle with is writing lab reports. That is where I come in. Having written both a research proposal and thesis for the Eastern Connecticut State University Honors Program, I am confident in my abilities to write about science. Additionally, I scored in the 98th percentile on the Writing portion of the GRE.

Many students also have a fear of presenting their work. As daunting as it may seem, there are ways to overcome the stage fright and I am the perfect person to help hone your skills! I have years of experience presenting my scientific research at conferences around the country, as well as producing educational programs at Connecticut's Beardsley Zoo.

Is there a biology test or exam on the horizon? Are finals right around the corner? Together, I will help you devise the perfect study plan and ensure that you ace your assessment. Having received an A in rigorous biology courses such as Population & Community Ecology, Physiological Ecology, Invasion Ecology, Conservation Biology, and Microbiology, I am equipped with countless studying strategies and techniques. Biology can be tough, but with me as

Amazing Biology tutor!

Biology was something that I had struggled with for a while. David really helped me learn the concepts that I had difficulty with by breaking them down and explaining each part in a way that I can understand. I cannot thank him enough for how well he explained hard concepts in a way that is much easier to understand. He is very knowledgeable and was able to answer any question that I had. He was well prepared with learning materials and exercises that targeted the areas I needed help on. I can't thank him enough!

Knowledgeable Writing Tutor!

David has helped me develop the soft skills in relation to my writing capabilities. We worked on supplemental questions for physician assistant program applications. David was great at helping me translate my ideas into concise writing. David was good at utilizing the Wyzant online platform. The screen sharing tool was essential to our collaboration. I recommend booking David for your next tutoring lesson in writing. I plan on booking my next appointment with David soon.

Awesome writing tutor!

David helped me so much when preparing to write my first draft of my personal statement for graduate admissions. It was so convenient to try an online tutoring session and the platform was super easy to use. David was warm, welcoming and knowledgable. He walked me through how to put my thoughts into action and discussed the importance of specificity and detail when highlighting work experience. I was so impressed with David overall and will definitely be booking another session to go over my next draft. Thanks again, David!

Most Incredible Tutor

David is by far the best tutor I’ve had the pleasure of working with. I’ve been looking for a proper tutor for biology for some time now and cannot thank David enough. He is SO passionate about the subject which is very encouraging when trying to learn. He was beyond patient with me and went over things as many times as I needed. He makes learning fun, which is so rare, and in turn makes it so much easier. He really makes the lesson personal to your style of learning. He is so smart but doesn’t overwhelm you at all. He breaks everything down to a level you can understand. I’ve tried so many tutors and am so thankful I found David. He was able to teach me things in one lesson my other tutors couldn’t teach me in weeks. I can’t wait for our next lesson, and I recommend him for absolutely everyone!
