Bio

Currently I teach 3rd grade in Fairfield, CT. The best part about my job is watching kids learn over a period of time. There's nothing better than watching a struggling student finally "get it."

Tutoring is something that I enjoy because growth happens so quickly based on 1:1 instruction. When a student first comes to me with low self confidence with a specific subject, and weeks later they're smiling from ear to ear-that's why I do it. Every child is capable- some just need extra...

Tutoring is something that I enjoy because growth happens so quickly based on 1:1 instruction. When a student first comes to me with low self confidence with a specific subject, and weeks later they're smiling from ear to ear-that's why I do it. Every child is capable- some just need extra attention and focus on a specific field.

With the new Common Core requirements in math, it's easy to feel overwhelmed with strategies. I will work with your child to determine what works best for them.

Grammar is a subject I've always been drawn to. It's all about relationship between words. I'm able to show students those relationships so that they're writing improves.

I've been teaching for 4 years and I am very familiar with the State Standards for grades K-5.

I hope to hear from you soon! Let's get learning!

I earned a Master of Arts in Teaching in 2011 and have been teaching 3rd grade for the past 5 years in a K-5 building. I am very familiar with Common Core State Standards and am able to make it attainable for students. I believe that all students are able to reach their fullest potential by working with a teacher who can identify where the student is struggling and support them through that struggle. I feel that I can fill that role for students in K-6th grade.
