I have a PhD degree in mechanical engineering from Carnegie Mellon University. I have taught stress analysis, vibration, calculus, and nonlinear dynamical systems. I have tutoring experience, as well. The student I taught improved from a C in math and physics to an A in advanced AP physics and math. The student had good scores in math and physics in SAT, and was admitted as a direct dental student.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I use C++ at work. I use C++ to write programs to do various nonlinear dynamic simulation.
My research topics in Carnegie Mellon were structure dynamics and solid mechanics. Differential equations is a basic tool to describe the behavior of a system, where its variables vary with respect to time and location. I can teach differential equations.
I use lots of numerical approach in my engineering work, which requires strong back ground in linear algebra, like solving optimization problems, differential equations, eignvalue problem, etc.
My master thesis is about structure optimization. My phd thesis is stability analysis on a dynamic system, where the system's parameters are time-varying. The main math tool used in these research is linear algebra, linear functional analysis, nonlinear analysis. In work, I wrote many numerical codes, such as to compute response of a system isolated with nonlinear isolators. One needs strong linear algebra knowledge to derive equations and then develop the code.
I use MATLAB at work. I use MATLAB to simulate thermal control systems.
I have a PHd from Carnegie Mellon University. I taught nonlinear dynamics in RPI. I taught vibration, stress analysis, etc in CMU.
