Hello, I have been working in the finance & administrative field for over 28 years. In addition, I owned my own company for many years teaching kids & adults. Math, computers & teaching in general are my strongest areas. I am advanced with MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. I have over 20 years experience with bookkeeping programs, QuickBooks, Peachtree, Traverse, AS400. I am the go to person in my office who helps everyone with any & all computer questions.
There is nothing better than teaching someone & experiencing the moment when they "get it" & you can see the pride beaming from them. That makes all the effort worth every second. I absolutely love to teach & share my knowledge. I have a great deal of patience. I explain what is needed in different ways because not everyone learns the same way. My son is dyslexic & he had a very difficult time learning to read. I had to learn new ways to teach to help him to learn and be successful. Working within him from when he was 5 has given me a new appreciation of what is needed & what works for students who learn differently. I have taught kids as young as 3 & adults in their 70s. Anyone can learn anything, it just takes a bit of practice & guidance. I am confident with most common computer tasks & programs, Math, algebra, geometry. All school work for middle school or younger. Budgeting, mortgage/loan payment calculators, bookkeeping. If there is something you are looking to learn, please ask & Ill let you know if I can help you out. Hello, I have been working in the finance & administrative field for over 28 years. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
