I taught English in both middle and high school, working with struggling students in addition to college prep and honors, published articles with professor on teaching reading, presenter at the SCCTE conference, Educational Consultant w/ Voyager Expanded Learning -- traveling throughout the country working with teachers and administrators on best teaching practices.
I have written and received education grants for multicultural literature and teaching reading and writing to all students. I believe that every student has the ability to excel. I enjoy working with kids and have spent my life working with students and student athletes. The various strategies used to engage students and achieve success are customized to meet individual needs, but the result is the same. Success!!

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
