Hi! My name is Callie and I am a 2019 graduate of the College of Arts and Science at Vanderbilt University. I have years of experience in tutoring and working with children in both home and classroom environments. I'm passionate about reading and learning, and I'm passionate about helping children explore their potential and discover a love for learning!
As your tutor, I want to work on developing an individualized plan that is tailored to what you or your child needs and takes into account how they think and are able to learn best. I am open to single, one-time sessions or ongoing scheduled sessions to continue to coach and support my students as they grow.

As a reading tutor, I encourage students to seek out material about subjects that interest them, books that are engaging and inspire them to want to continue reading and to get better so they can read more and faster. I love books and have plenty of recommendations for a range of reading levels, and I have experience in helping students with learning delays with reading, as well as helping students who just need a little extra "boost" to get started.

I scored an 800/800 on the reading section of the SAT. As a former college student, aspiring teacher, and lifelong learner, I understand the value of reading and the skills required to fully absorb a piece of text. I know how important reading and comprehension is, and I offer my students the tools and support to give them a strong foundation in this important skill.

I have 10 years of experience in working with children, including elementary school classrooms. I also have worked as a English language assistant in Málaga, Spain. During my time at Vanderbilt University, I worked as a tutor in the Vanderbilt Kennedy Center's Reading Clinic.
