About Taylor

Bio

Hello everyone, My name is Taylor C. and I have been teaching for over 5 years. I obtained my Bachelor's in Mathematics from California State University, Northridge. While attending CSUN, I worked at Granada Hills Charter High School as an Hour After Activities (AHA) instructor. I taught Algebra 1 and 2, Geometry, Trigonometry, Statistics, Precalculus and Calculus for one year. I worked with students ages 14-18. Hello everyone, My name is Taylor C. and I have been teaching for over 5 years. I obtained my Bachelor's in Mathematics from California State University, Northridge. While attending CSUN, I worked at Granada Hills Charter High School as an Hour After Activities (AHA) instructor. I taught Algebra 1 and 2, Geometry, Trigonometry, Statistics, Precalculus and Calculus for one year. I worked with students ages 14-18. I also spent countless hours volunteering to help middle school students increase their Algebra skills. I spent my last year at CSUN volunteering at Northridge Academy High School to help students in the mathematics department as well. I received the Varsity N award all 4 years at CSUN; while competing in a Division One sport, I was able to maintain a 3.0 GPA or higher each year. I graduated from California State University, Northridge in 2017 as Magna Cum Laude and as the only athlete in the Big West Conference with a Mathematics Degree. Some class in my transcripts include: College Algebra, Advanced Calculus, Upper division Statistics, Linear Algebra, Math Theory, Python, etc. I moved to Fullerton post graduation where I started working for Cerritos College at the Learning Resource Center. I've assisted college students with Algebra, Statistics, Trigonometry and Calculus.

I like to help my students learn Mathematics by relating the material to something they enjoy whether it is sports, cars, movies etc. By making it more relatable, I find students who enjoy the material are more likely to perform better.

Because I am currently training for the Olympics, I uphold a 24 hour cancellation policy for tutoring. I am very responsive and will always do my best to respond in a timely manner. Feel free to contact me with any questions!

I would highly recommend Taylor for Trigonometry or other math disciplines. My daughter was struggling with Trig and after one lesson she took a test and improved dramatically. He is patient, intelligent, and results oriented.
