I am an English, an accomplished professional pianist and accompanist and was a Head of Music for 14 years at some of the top schools in England. I have extensive and professional level teaching experience with high retention, success and student commitment rates from both children and adults. Lessons are offered at you own home and I will travel to you. I prefer one hour lesson slots but 30 min lesson slots can be arranged. I live in Middletown and so I can travel to surrounding areas. I am currently finishing my Masters and I am also a professional organist the places I have are always limited. What you learn is entirely up to what your own aspirations are and I will adapt to meet yours or you child's needs. Whether you aspire to high level piano technique and exams, or are learning in a more leisurely manner and wish to learn particular songs or music.
For children, I offer a structured development programme combined with basic theory that will help create an all round and technically secure student, equipped for the future and able to learn different repertoire including classical and popular. ?A high commitment level is required to become an accomplished pianist and there are required minimum practice amounts that are recommended to progress. I myself still practice 2-3 hours each day. I can arrange times and music with you and can talk you through the process of setting up and arranging lessons.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
