Standardized tests seem to be one of my natural abilities. I scored in the 99% my first time taking the official GMAT, GRE and LSAT and I've scored perfect on subsequent exams. I enjoy taking exams (I know that sounds weird), and I enjoy helping others do the same.

I needed to complete the GMAT in a short period of time in order to meet the application period for my business school of choice. The program is extremely competitive. Regan helped me raise my GMAT test scores by over 300 points, into the 700's, in one month's time. I am now a student in one of the top business school programs in the world. Can't say enough about how great I think he is.
Regan is helping to focus my efforts in a manner that is new to me an is patient in his guidance. He provides great tools to assist in the refinement of my test taking skills.
Regan has been very helpful in analyzing reasons of why I get certain CR questions wrong and provided with practical advice for simplifying the argument and eliminating wrong answer choices.
Regan is not only an excellent tutor, but he goes above and beyond what he is just expected to do as a tutor. I only have amazing things to say about him. You can't go wrong hiring Regan as you tutor.
I came to Regan desperately in need of a study plan, concrete answers, and someone to push me in the right direction. What I didn't expect was that Regan would provide all of this along with emotional intelligence training. Regan is patient, energetic, but more importantly cares about the emotional roadblock that holds everyone back from accomplishing a goal. Regan clearly knows how to tutor the material down pat, but mastering the GMAT is another beast and Regan pushes you to do that.
In the short time I have available before my GRE test, Regan is helping me with a well structure training that identifies my weaknesses and provides me with exercises to solve them.
Regan is instrumental in helping individuals prepare for the exam, focusing on how to retain the large volumes of content required for the MCAT as well as creating a mental state that encourages success/motivation. He has numerous resources at his disposal and is very flexible to work with, especially for working adults.
Regan really knows his stuff. Not only do I learn a lot from him but we have fun in the process.
Regan really focuses on your mental state towards the test as well as your knowledge. He works with your memory to help transfer the things you learn into long term memory and focuses on helping you stay positive and reach your goals. He has great supplemental videos that help out when you are at home studying as well.
Regan can read and comprehend gmat questions quickly. Efficiency of a lesson definitely helps me learn more and get more out of it.
As I mentioned in the title, Regan not only immediately gave me great study material, new insights into the test and studying but also very quickly identified what my major problem areas were so I could make progress. Thanks Regan!
Regan really gets down to the root of your issues and identifies you main weak areas, then provides a course of action to solve that problem. Quick and to the point allowing you to maximize you time spent together.
Regan's approach to preparation for GMAT is totally different. The techniques he offers are giving me the confidence I need to attack to the GMAT. Regan knows what he is doing and his system is effective.
Regan broke things down in a way that was clear and gave me tips on how to tackle a problem that is challenging. He provides great resources for studying as well!
Regan helped me out with studying for the MCAT, and his advice was amazing! I had never tried online tutoring before and it worked out great, he really kept me on track for my exam and provided a lot of awesome resources for studying! I felt confident taking the exam and exceeded my goal, scoring in the 95th percentile! I would highly recommend Regan to anyone taking the MCAT or any other graduate exam!
Though our son had taken a Kaplan MCAT prep course and was continuing to study and take the practice tests on his own, he was not reaching the scores he hoped for. With just 4 weeks to go before the actual test, we contacted Regan for help. He met with our son via video conferencing right away and quickly set up a plan to help him improve his scores. Regan "met" with our son for seven sessions in the four weeks and gave him specific tasks to work on and advice on how to manage the time he had left. Our son gladly followed his advice and today he received his MCAT score--525! This far exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend Regan as a tutor and coach. We are so glad we found him. Thank you, Regan!
I have been meeting with Regan for awhile now and cannot say enough good things. Not only does he help you understand core concepts, he also makes sure you are emotionally ready to take the test. Before working with Regan I did an online prep course. After the course was complete, there was hardly any difference in my score. But, after working with Regan, my average score has increased by almost 100pts!
Regan really cares about his students and will do anything to help them succeed. I definitely recommend him for anyone looking for a GMAT tutor!
If you are looking for someone to motivate you, then Regan is your guy!!! He's an awesome tutor, who really cares about his students.
I went I first I was overwhelmed with the idea of mcat prep ,regan have patient and he is very knowledgeable .He provides all the neccesary tools to be successful .
Regan is a great tutor that really takes the time to make sure that his students understand the material. He explains things until you understand and even has you explain it back to him. He also asks you to make videos like you are teaching someone else the material that you are learning. It helps to master the concepts. I am confident that I will be able to conquer the MCAT due to finding Regan. If you reach out to Regan, you won't be disappointed.
Regan is an awesome tutor who understands there is more to studying than staring at books and doing practice tests. I am currently using Regan for MCAT prep, and he has spent a considerable amount of time coaching the underlying mental attitudes needed to succeed on such a difficult exam. I feel like I am not only learning test material, but learning life lessons as well.
Regan tailors each session to his students' specific needs. He is patient, knowledgable, uplifting and fun. He has helped me improve greatly and fast.
Prior to working with Regan, the new MCAT seemed like such a daunting task. I had taken the exam once before so I sort of knew what to expect. When I had studied for the exam in the past, I had utilized a group-class and even tried studying on my own. I knew I needed a new approach and someone to hold me accountable for the work. Working with Regan was just what I needed to take my studying and my test-taking ability to the next level. He worked with me on developing my studying and memorization abilities and even addressed ways of coping with stress and anxiety related to the exam. I would say that Regan was more than just a tutor, he was my coach. I was putting in countless hours of studying, but he was right there encouraging me and giving me feedback at every session. Before I knew it, I had mastered content way faster than I had in the past.
If I were to give advice to future pre-med students studying for the exam I would say: Make sure you give yourself enough time to prepare and take things a little bit at a time. You've already put in the work during undergrad or during post-bacc so all you have to do is review and make sure you know the content. First and foremost DO NOT give up on your hobbies or the things that remind you there is life outside the MCAT. It is so important to have an outlet for stress. At the end of the day if you don't feel like you are ready you can always reschedule the test, your scheduled test date is not set in stone. The last thing I would say is try to have fun with it - I know that sounds weird!- but seriously, if you can keep a positive attitude while you study and practice you'll learn more. Every question you get wrong serves as a friendly reminder of what you need to review NOT as a reminder of how much you don't know.
I recently got my MCAT score back and did so much better than I could have imagined and I attribute a lot of my success to Regan and his team. I highly recommend him!
I worked with Regan for about 3 months for the new MCAT exam and my score DRASTICALLY improved from the first time I took the exam. I went from making a 25 on the old MCAT (50th percentile) to a 517 on the new MCAT exam (96th percentile) after working with Regan. He gave me really great advice for test strategy, taught me to memorize content quickly and effectively, and most importantly taught me to remove my test anxiety and study without stress (this last part was HUGELY important for me). I would highly recommend Regan for MCAT tutoring. I definitely attribute a large chunk of my success to his tutoring, and hope you can benefit from working with him as well!
Regan not only knows the material really well, but he is excellent at breaking it down so that you can understand the fundamental concepts! He also goes over several learning strategies that can help you focus your studying - I would definitely recommend him!
Patient, funny, effective, sharp and responsive. Regan is a pleasure to work with, he really takes the stress out of the process and gives you the tools to motivate yourself and succeed.
working with Regan has helped my understanding of physics as well as working on inner game, which is very important
This was a great session specifically focused on the verbal section of GMAT. Regan really helped me understand some of the simple GMAT strategies I was overlooking and how to break down the questions I thought were more difficult. He also helped with study strategies and how to retain information!
Regan was a great tutor and had some amazing resources for me to practice with. With two weeks until my MCAT exam, I was still struggling with the CARS section, and with just a few sessions with Regan, I was able to consistently get the scores I wanted in a very short amount of time. I just took the real MCAT, and I feel great about my performance in the section I once struggled with.
After getting a low score on my December LSAT due to health reasons, Regan has helped me with memory aids to achieve higher scores in practice exams. Best tutor ever!
The first time I met Regan through my camera-less online tutoring device, I felt that the lord had finally blessed me with the salvation in the form of LSAT tutoring. I did not know my own backside from an assumption question, let alone parallel reasoning statements evaluating conclusive evidence, but now I could write you a small article in Reader's Digest about these two phenomenons in grave detail. Regan has been the veterinarian who fixed the bird's broken wing when it comes to him helping me get into law school. Now that Dr. Regan has inserted the screws and bolts of knowledge into my broken wings of thought, I shall now take to the skies and scour the grand canyon on my way to the great beyond. Amaaaaaaazing Grace, howww sweet, the sounddd, that savedd, an LSAT student...like meeeeeeeee. I once, was lost. But now, am found. Was bliiiiiiind, but now, I seeeeeeeeeee. ...until I actually took the Lsat and did worse
Regan is very knowledgeable about not only the content of the test, but also how to successfully manage stress!
Regan helped me get a 99th percentile score (170 verbal and 168 quant) on the GRE. Incredible! Highly recommend Regan.
I recommend Regan for any and all test prep. He really provides you with the knowledge and materials to ensure success.
Regan helped me achieve a score 100 points above what I needed to get into my desired MBA program. He is an extremely patient tutor and helped me understand certain questions that did not make sense. Also, in the short time I had between the time I started tutoring and the GMAT, he put together a schedule for me to follow in order for me to reach my goals in a little over a month. I would definitely recommend Regan to anyone who needs a tutor!
Regan's MCAT tutoring has been very helpful. He provided me with videos that really helped my test taking skills in the verbal section, and made questions that seem complicated really easy to tackle.
He really is very knowledgeable about all of the science questions, and he will help you not only approach them with confidence, but understand the topics better and be able to apply your knowledge to any type of question you encounter.
My daughter struggled initially. After sessions with Regan her score improved from 27 to 34, which is way beyond our expectations. Cheers!
I'm prepping for the MCAT with Regan and he's been available for tutoring sessions around my work and personal schedule. He has helped keep me on track and is always very positive during our sessions. I highly recommend him!
We reached out to Regan at the last minute to help my son cram for the HSTP. My son not only got in to the school of his choice but also got scholarship money because of his high score.
Regan helped improve my verbal score by a full 3 points on the MCAT. He helped me understand the exam and provided me with techniques and hints to conquer this section in a very brief time period. I would recommend him to anyone who is looking for an MCAT tutor.
Regan is an amazing person!! Very nice, helpful, and honest. He really cares about his students. He will go out of his way to help you. Very patient!! He responds to your texts/emails very quickly. He is just great!! Thank you, Regan.
Son improved 400+ points on his trial SAT. Thank you. Fingers crossed, he'll hit his target of 2200 before sitting for the real SAT.
This tutor knows his business, is readily available for questions, and scheduling appointments. He knows how to relate to teenagers and is very patient.
After sessions with Regan, I achieved the score needed to get into a doctoral program at Penn State. I'm not going to bore you with all the details. I will share this though. He is a pro, uses the best technology and has volumes of material. Do not spend money on a prep course!!! Invest that same money and have Regan tutor you!!! You will learn much more in the same amount of time!!!
I am working with Regan to prep for the MCAT. At first I was concerned about online tutoring but honestly, I have found it much more conducive to learning than face to face. Regan has got a great system set up to support mastering material and review. He has a deep knowledge of the MCAT - so you don't waste your time studying for subjects that aren't covered while delving deeply into the ones that will be covered. So glad I came across Regan on this site!
The GRE (and any standardized test) is a game, and Regan has taught me how to beat it! I have been out of school for over 3 years so I was really worried about the GRE, especially the writing part because I was never great at writing essays to begin with. I started out so frustrated that I couldn't even finish an essay and after my lessons with Regan, I was able to finish a decent essay in 30 minutes and got the score I wanted. I wanted to take the test again because my math score was not where it needed to be. With Regan's help, my math score ranked 20% higher the second time.
The software Regan works on makes it very convenient so you can work from home. Regan is very straight forward, knows what is important and what is not, and has really helped me out on the GRE. Now he is helping me with my graduate school application essay. This guy knows what he's talking about! Highly recommended!!
If you are looking for GMAT tutor, Regan is definitely your best choice. I took full veritas course, took the test, and was very disappointed with my score - 610. After working with couple different tutors, I finally found Regan. He is really good at explaining verbal problems, and he is a real GMAT expert. I took just couple lessons with Regan, but I learned a lot! He is also a very nice person. I really enjoyed working with him, and yes, I improved my score by 80 points.
Bottom Line Up Front:
- Very easy to work with over the phone or computer. Will adjust his schedule to meet yours.
- Effective tutor who personalizes his teaching method for each student.
- Quick to identify weaknesses and develop a course of action.
- Enables you to study efficiently, focusing your efforts while avoiding wasting study time.
Prior to hiring Regan, I spent 6 months studying for the GMAT on my own. After receiving a less than competitive score I decided to hire a tutor. I wanted a local tutor who I could meet with in person, as I was hesitant to pay someone a lot of money (let's face it these guys are not cheap!) to meet with over the computer. Needless to say the local tutor did not work out and I was left to try the "guy over the computer."
Regan very quickly debunked my initial "tutor theory." He took the time to meet with me, even in odd hours and on weekends. He quickly identified my weaknesses and constructed a course of action to reach my target score. His personal approach and genuine concern created a productive learning environment. If you are worried about Regan's credentials and tutoring methods, ask him on your first session (I did).
Make no mistake studying for the GMAT is a time consuming process which requires focus and discipline. As a military officer I understand the importance of time management, especially for those of you who do not have much study time. Regan does not waste the time you have with him and ensures you "hit the ground running" every session.
I had a month to get ready - and I was borderline freaking out. He was honest with me, patient with me, rearranged anything in his schedule he needed to help me get to where I had to be, and also made the process fun, believe it or not. By the end of the month, I knew exactly what types of things to look for on the test, and exactly how to approach them.
This guy is the best - don't pass him up!
Regan killed it for me on the GMAT. After several years of on/off studying on my own (no courses), I was stuck at a 630-640 and was so disappointed, I quit. Finally, with my career about to get crazy with long hours, I decided that I had 6 weeks to take the GMAT, it was now or never.
I already had some knowledge about the format and content, but Regan taught me not just how to solve problems, but how to SCORE HIGHER. He gave me confidence and was very flexible in schedule (like any time day or night). After only 10-12 sessions over 6 weeks (several hour-long sessions per week) and comprehensive homework in between, I scored a 710, 710, 720 in the last 2 weeks before my GMAT.
Regan prepared me for gameday and on my birthday, I scored a 710. The feeling that I had was absolutely insane, I couldn't believe it. I'm not an incredibly smart guy, Regan just taught me how to score higher on the test and great strategies for how the GMAT question makers think and want you to answer. I called him before I called my girlfriend, because all I could think about was where I would be without his simple and easy to understand teaching methods.
My experience was really GREAT! I learned more in a few weeks working with Regan, that I never learned in a previous LSAT class. He is very knowledgeable and patient and really has heart to see students reach their goals.
Regan is a great tutor! highly recommend him. He replies to emails fast, figures out your weak points and works with you along the way to improve them.
After spending countless hours of studying and well over $2 grand of my savings in prep courses and books, I was pretty discouraged with my first GMAT score. I spoke and met with a couple of different tutors on Wyzant, but I could not find someone who could help me meet my goals, especially as Quant was my relative weakness. I found that there were many intelligent math/Quant "whizzes" but few who could articulate the concepts and solve the problems dynamically, which is critical to success on the GMAT. With Regan, you get the best of both worlds. I was initially wary of doing "online" tutoring sessions but after working with him in just one session, my concerns were immediately alleviated. As his profile depicts, Regan is a test-taking genius. More importantly, he's both willing and able to translate the concepts and approaches until you understand them (while keeping things amusing/interesting). It's highly likely he'll tailor the sessions to your custom strengths/weaknesses; I worked with him directly on problems I missed from practice tests, testing/trying different approaches and discussing where I went wrong. This method helped keep my studies focused, dynamic, and relevant. With scheduling, he is a popular/busy man, but extremely flexible as well. Moreover, if you're test is coming up, he's more than willing to make extra time for you. I am continuing to work with him and feel confident I will reach my target scores. If you're hesitant, don't be. Simply email him and setup a trial session!
Regan is by far the best tutor/test prep instructor I have encountered and I have came across several. He always took the time to make sure that I truly understood the concepts and he never failed to have a story to help lighten the mood! I truly do not have enough good things to say about Regan and I highly recommend him for any test prep someone might need. Thanks Regan!!
My experience with Regan tutoring me for the GMAT was Memorable. I didn't need a very high score to get into my desired MBA program, but my quantitative was rusty. Regan worked with me continuously until I was able to get the material and my required score. His teaching style was exceptional, and his sense of humor made math bearable. His ability to breakdown the material and make it easy to comprehend was great. Days I felt like giving up on the GMAT he was able to encourage me and get me back on track. Regan is an expert at what he does, a couple of days before my exam my practice scores kept on dropping, He was able to identify exactly what was going on with my scores and worked with me to correct them before the test. Overall Regan is an outstanding tutor and a great individual. I highly recommend him to anyone considering taking the GMAT.
Regan is a naturally born teacher. I had thought that the online tutorial would not be as effective as face-to-face encounter, but Regan has won my trust. I find him very helpful.
Outstanding tutor! Regan was an effective and patient tutor for my daughter while she was studying for the MCATs. I highly recommend him for test preparation!
Regan makes the subject entertaining and never fails to introduce a new strategy or technique that will greatly benefit the tutee in each session. Not only is he a great tutor but he is very amiable. Highly recommended!
Regan is a very patient tutor who knows what he is doing. He is always prepared for class and has improved my GRE score greatly. Regan's straightforward teaching style is very easy to understand. I highly recommend him!
I have been working with Reagan for a number of months in preparation for the LSAT and he has been a significant factor in my improvement and my success. He somehow makes the LSAT fun and sessions with him are not only helpful but also relaxing and enjoyable. He is challenging and demands the best from you but these are ultimately the tactics that continuously help you improve. He is expert when it comes to the LSAT and can pin point all the minute mistakes you may be making in order to help you get a better score.
My experience with Regan tutoring me for the GMAT was excellent. I’ve taken the GMAT three times. The first time I took it absolutely cold and scored a 550. Then I signed up for Kaplan’s on Demand class, which I found to be lacking, and scored a 580. After about six weeks of tutoring with Regan I scored a 700 and if I didn’t let the stress of the test get to me I could have scored higher. As a tutor his sense of humor, instructional pace, and ability to make the material easy to digest creates as enjoyable an experience as studying gets. If you put in the effort, Regan can make all the difference in your GMAT score.
Regan is knowledge, professional, personable, patient and a excellent communicator. He'd respond to my questions immediately even over text and EVEN at 5:30am! I had some concerns about tutoring with someone over the internet versus face2face but I found this approach very engaging and effective...plus, I was able to be in the comfort of my own home!
I came to Regan with an extremely low GRE score in June of 2011. In order for me to get in for the fall semester at the school of my choice, I had to take the GRE again in 3.5 weeks. It was also the phasing out of the old GRE, so in 3.5 weeks, the new GRE would start, and the scores would not be reported until the end of the 2011 year. On top of this, I had a very weak background in math in high school, and my verbal scores needed work.
So needless to say, I had a tall task- improve my scores by over 350 points in 3.5 weeks for a student that has some of the lowest math and verbal scores.
What Regan did was incredible. He was patient, kind, great at explanation of all of the material, and kept me on track to ensure that I would meet my goal. There is no question in my mind that no other tutor could have gotten me to my goal. Regan was not a good tutor- but a great one. His expertise in the GRE allowed me to know that I was in good hands. In addition, Regan was patient enough with me and also aggressive enough to ensure that I was fully prepared for the GRE, which I was.
I went into the GRE a second time with much more confidence and fully prepared. I met my goal and I am happy to say that thanks to Regan, I have been accepted into my university. I have already recommended my sister to him, and I would recommend anyone to Regan. There is no question that if you want to meet your goals, Regan is by far the person you want!
Regan is an excellant GMAT teacher and someone who works with you step by step until you get it right. Could not ask for a better teacher.
Regan C's ability to teach GMAT study methods stands second to none. However, his small business owner practices could end up costing you. Please read his cancellation policy carefully. Regan C. states a 72 hour cancellation policy that he will not budge on. I was able to negotiate with him a lesson, free of charge in lieu of a refund. When I went to reschedule, he stated he didn't have time, he was all booked up. The most frustrating part of the whole process was I felt like he pushed me to confirm and accept an appointment...an appointment that I felt was tentative. I provided him with plenty of cancellation notice (48 hours) however he sited the 72 hour policy. In my opinion that is excessive. I had to get WzyAnt involved to negotiate the free lesson. WyzAnt was very helpful during the process. Please don't misread my review, Regan C. comes highly recommended. Just be firm on when YOU want your tutoring lessons, don't allow him to push you into dates that you consider questionable. 72 HOURS, that's your deadline for cancellation. Almost all other tutors on WyzAnt state no cancellation policy or 24 hours.
Unfortunately JD's version is not remotely accurate. Here are a few corrections that are backed by emails and time stamps.
Correction 1: The cancellation policy is 36 hours, not 72 as JD claims. Its stated clearly on my profile page. Plus, here's the quote from our email conversation. "I understand, unfortunately, there is a 36 hour cancellation policy, so you will be charged for a late cancellation."
Correction 2: JD requested a cancellation the morning of our session, not 48 hours like he claimed.
Correction 3: I offered JD a credit for the cancellation in our first email conversation-He did not have get WyzAnt involved to negotiate as he claims. Again, here's a quote from our email conversation: "Cannot it be credited to my next lesson?" "Yes, we can absolutely apply the cancellation fee to your next lesson. I will consider it a straight credit, so overall it won't cost you anything."
Correction 4: JD implies that I refused to reschedule him. In fact, I offered him a free reschedule on July 5. He did no contact me for 3 weeks. Finally, a day and a half before his exam, he requested a session. He emailed me on Thursday for a session on Friday. I was already booked on Friday, and his exam was Saturday morning.
Correction 5: JD's claim that I pressured him into accepting an appointment time is simply false.
Regan is a great tutor, and was extremely helpful in improving my GMAT score. While I have always been strong in the verbal section, I knew that the quantitative section was a major area of weakness. I had taken the test once previously, and had scored in the 36th percentile on the math section. After only a few weeks with Regan I managed to move my score into the 72nd percentile. Regan really worked hard to identify my areas of weaknesses and eliminate them. I highly recommend Regan to anyone looking to prepare for the GMAT.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I worked in Taiwan for two years as a missionary speaking daily with native Chinese people. After I returned home, I received a Chinese scholarship to the University of Puget Sound, where I minored in Chinese. I still read Chinese nearly every day.
I am a perfect-score MCAT instructor, and I'd like to give you a free trial session. My first time taking the MCAT, I scored in 99th percentile, and subsequently I've consistently scored perfect on repeat exams. Tutoring is my full-time gig. I mainly teach for a company that requires me to have perfect scores on the MCAT, GRE, GMAT, and LSAT - an insanely high standard for the industry.
As a perfect-score teacher, I get requests from all over the country, so I usually teach using online meeting software. The software allows me to talk to you and you talk to me (with our voices), and we see and work the same problems together using a slide show and drawing board. I've taught in classrooms, over the kitchen table, and I have to say that the online experience is by far the best. We cover more material faster, it's much more convenient for our schedules, and I can email you PDFs of all of the problems that we did. You can also record our session so you can watch them again and again for free.
My lessons are structured and thorough. I issue pre-lesson home work, and follow-up homework, and I offer unlimited email support on those assignments at no additional cost. Be prepared to work hard and score high!
Again, I'm willing to set up a free trial session so you can see how I work. This will also give me a chance to see where you are at, and what' holding you back. Let me know your availability and I'll set up a free session right away.
