I am a certified Math teacher and have taught in the Litchfield area for 12 years. I have tutored extensively one on one to prepare students for the SAT's, PSAT's and ACT's. My students have had excellent results on standardized testing including AP Calculus.
I am a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Wellesley College where I was a dual major in Math and Chemistry.
I have had much experience both in the classroom and with individual one on one tutoring. I particularly enjoy tutoring students who are in need of test prep. I have had multiple students who raised their scores from my having tutored them in PSATs and SATs. I have been an AP Calculus teacher for nearly 5 years.
I am available on weekdays after school, on occasional Saturday mornings and throughout the summer. I would be pleased to meet at a public spot that is conveniently located. If the lesson is cancelled without at least 8 hours of advanced notice, there will be a cancellation penalty of $35.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I am a graduate of an independent school. I graduated from Wellesley College and Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. I am a physician and I have been a certified math teacher for 11 years. I have had much experience tutoring students for standardized tests such as SAT, PSAT's and have taught AP Calculus for 3 years. I attended an independent school from grade 7 through 12. I am qualified to tutor for the ISEE.
I was exempt from the basic Praxis qualifying exam as my high SAT scores were used instead. I passed the middle school and high school Praxis in math with excellent scores.
