My name is Sofia M. and I am a native trilingual language tutor.

I grew up with parents who highly emphasized languages. Benefiting from this good fortune, I became not only proficient, but fluent in both Spanish and French. I am a native Spanish speaker through my parents and also attended a bilingual French school, the French-American School of New York for 11 years (K-10). I have strong writing and literary skills, both in English and in my two other languages of Spanish and French.

I have acquired experience tutoring both in informal settings and in institutions of learning as well as on tutoring platforms.

I am an experienced and versatile tutor assisting students spanning a wide range of ages, goals, and abilities. I enjoy not only teaching, but coaching students in finding the joy of learning and the mindset and mental shortcuts that accelerate this process.

As of January 2020, I have relocated to France, and am therefore only offering online tutoring. However, proper online tutoring is equally effective as in-person tutoring, while providing the added convenience of not having to leave your home.

Finally, I hope you will allow me to share my knowledge and skill set with you or your child in pursuit of perfecting your or their writing and language abilities.
