I love technology, and I especially love getting other people to fall in love with it as well. For a good part of the year I have the pleasure of working as an Adjunct Professor at Norwalk Community College, where I teach computer-related topics. My students have awarded me with consistently high evaluations along with the tremendous satisfaction of seeing how much they learn so quickly.
When I am not teaching, I am helping people out as a computer consultant for my small firm named Tech Help Today, in Greenwich, CT. My background in the computer industry along with my MBA education enables me to help you solve technical problems in the best way for your particular business purpose.
As for qualifications, I have Microsoft-certified proficiency in Access and PowerPoint. I am also a Microsoft-certified Expert in Excel and Word. While earning my MBA, I was granted membership in the Beta Gamma Sigma honor society.
Before I started teaching and consulting, I spent several years in the computer magazine business, where I was a successful writer, editor, and product reviewer. I have looked at, used, tested, and written about pretty nearly every type of computer product or program available.
Although my career is varied, the one central element in everything I have done is my desire to explain complicated technical concepts in simple terms that almost everyone can understand, appreciate, and profit from. The fact is that once you strip away all the intimidating jargon, most technology is quite simple - sometimes elegantly so.
So, if you are faced with a complicated topic, let me help you with it. You will learn quite a bit - and probably have some fun doing so as well. I love technology, and I especially love getting other people to fall in love with it as well. For a good part of the year I have the pleasure of working as an Adjunct Professor at Norwalk Community College, where I teach computer-related topics. My students have awarded me with

I consider Rich M. a treasure. There are lots of computer geeks out there but they are not necessarily good teachers. He is an excellent teacher- calm, a problem solver, communicates, has given me confidence to see the Apple as an ally, not intimidating. After 18 years with Dell, I was constantly challenging the new ways of Apple. Stubborn, I would say. I have a business and felt that I was falling behind all the new changes. I can't say enough about the experience of having Rich as a tutor. I hope you are lucky enough to have more teachers as capable.
It was a pleasure to work with Rich Ma. Easy to understand. He is very knkowledge and patient. I would highly recommed him.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
