After I graduated from the University of Connecticut, I attended the Savannah College of Art & Design. That’s where I learned the foundations of graphic design and that you could actually make a living as a graphic artist. It is where I learned Photoshop for print/web design as well as other Adobe software. Recently I have been providing print and digital services to brands and corporate clients within Fairfield and Westchester County. I have been fortunate enough to land freelance gigs for NBC Sports & Olympics, the Gartner Group, Design Within Reach & and most recently the United States Tennis Association. The best thing about my training is that I go at a relaxed pace and I build upon what the student has already learned. This way the material is fresh and techniques are reinforced.
In addition to my full-time job I have been teaching one-on-one Photoshop classes to anyone who wants to learn. I have conducted classes at my home office but students can request house calls or library sessions.
I look forward to meeting you and providing the tools you need to become a better designer. I can provide you with Real World use of Photoshop and how to use it for Print and Web purposes. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I have been using Adobe Photoshop for several years. I learned Photoshop at S.C.A.D. ( Savannah College of Art & Design) In my professional life I use Photoshop often to create images for web pages and print material, including, posters, business cards, billboards, invitations and logos.
I also use Photoshop often to color correct and enhance images taken with a digital camera.
Over the years I have compiled the best ways of achieving desired effects in Photoshop because there are often a few ways to do things.
A good deal of the time you make your graphics in Photoshop and then import them into other programs like InDesign.
My method of teaching is practical so I operate at the clients pace and i apply real world experience to the workshop.
I have several years experience using Dreamweaver to create landing pages to websites. I learned to master Dreamweaver at a few of my past jobs but most recently at my current job where I create landing pages and micro sites.
Dreamweaver can be a bit intimidating but once you master the basics of web production it can help you put together some interactive pages made with html and css.
The most recent version of Dreamweaver CS6 helps you to make responsive websites so they look consistent whether you view them in a browser of mobile device.
My Web Design expertise started at The Savannah College of Art and Design. Since then I have learned and applied various web related skills and techniques that have made me a well rounded web designer. I have also been fortunate to learn practical applications of web design at some awesome companies such as NBC Sports & Olympics.
I have taught design, including web design for a few years now and adjust my pace of teaching to the ability of the student plus I'm very patient. I will look forward to helping you achieve your goals!
