Southern Connecticut State University (Communication Disord)
I look forward to finding new tutoring jobs! I'm currently a junior at Southern Connecticut State University. I'm majoring in communication disorders and hope to pursue my masters following my graduation next spring. I really enjoy subjects including reading, English, psychology and math. I graduated high school number 5 in my class and pride myself on good grades and study habits.
As a tutor I would love to help you clarify/understand any confusing material in your needed subject. I would also strive to teach you important study skills and tips to help you in all areas of your education. I am a fantastic organizer when it comes to academics so if you are struggling keeping everything in line I would love to help out. I look forward to working alongside you and improve your experience in academia!
I took two AP English classes in high school and a college English course. I am also majoring in communication disorders which requires a strong understanding of the correct usage of the English language. In addition to my two English AP courses I took an AP psychology course and an AP statistics course. In college I have taken 3 psychology courses, many communication disorders classes, a communications class, an Islamic civilization class, and many more. I feel I am well rounded in many areas of study which helps to improve a comprehensive learning experience!
I currently work for a company that provides services to children with autism. I work one-on-one to help improve social and daily living skills. I have also worked as a nanny and at a daycare. Working in these settings has taught me great patience and problem solving skills that I plan to bring into our tutoring sessions.
Feel free to contact me with any questions! I look forward to working together! Hello,

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
