Everyone has the capacity to learn, develop and mature if given the right opportunity and motivation. Of course, each student is unique. As I place expectations on my students, I place more expectations on myself. In order to ensure that I am fulfilling these expectations, I welcome any feedback. This helps me to make adjustments and to maximize my skills as an educator. As a result, I can offer the best possible tutoring services to my students.

Richard was such a nice guy, always very patient and pleasant. He was knowledgeable, prompt and accommodating. Thanks for your help.
Richard was awesome! He reviewed my daughters knowledge and explained concepts in a clear and understanding way. They went over problem solving techniques and ideas. Understanding the graphs and what the lines meant. How to use information given a sentence. Very good tutor.
Excellent! Richard evidently has many years of experience teaching Algebra 2 and could break down the information clearly enough for my son to understand the content and begin to tackle problems independently and with confidence.
Richard was a big help to our son. He was well prepared, prompt, organised, understanding and got results. We would highly recommend him.
After explaining what help I needed Richard was quickly able to explain concepts and come up with logical shortcuts. He made sure I understood each step before moving to the next problem. Extremely helpful and solid math session.
My son Jacob really enjoys working with Richard. He is very patient , soft spoken and explains things well. Jacob says he is very knowledgeable and an excellent teacher. He is learning a lot.
Richard is patient and excellent at working with a student to learn math strategies. He is a great math tutor and can work with non-traditional and adult learners.
My son needs to review some math concepts before starting Algebra this year at high school. He appeared unsure of himself after completing sections of a summer review packet so I quickly surmised it would best to have a tutor go over this work. At this first session Richard (Andy) and my son went through several pages from the packet. Richard picked up on some gaps that needed to be reinforced tonight and at the next session. It was important for me to know that my son was on track by learning this material (math gaps) now. Ultimately, it will also boost his confidence when he starts this class in a few weeks. Thank you Richard.
Richard is teaching my son High School geometry in order to prep him in advance for next year. He's been very successful at working with my son.
Richard has been tutoring our son for his upcoming SAT exam. Richard has been great at keeping us informed about our son's lesson plans, and he is very responsive to our emails. He has also been very accommodating with his scheduling of lessons. Most importantly, our son has connected with Richard's friendly and flexible tutoring style which has resulted in our son putting in more effort to prepare for this exam. We are very happy with how the tutoring has been going, and we would recommend Richard to others who are looking for a quality, reliable tutor.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
Over the past ten years I have helped students prepare for the ACT. In addition to studying the material, the focus has been on test-taking strategies, organization and time management.

Players under my tutelage have shown accelerated growth in mastering the fundamentals along with advanced concepts. In addition, I am a student of the game who continues to search for new ideas and methods of helping rookies and veterans achieve success. Besides coaching, I played basketball at the high school and college intramural levels.
I have seven years of experience working with elementary math learners.
During my years of high school and college, one of my strengths has been testing. In addition, I have been assisting students with test preparation for more than ten years. Currently, I teach math at a high school where test-taking is one of the primary goals. I have always enjoyed perfecting strategies behind taking tests.
