About Deborah

I am a career-government employee working in Systems Administration and soon to retire. I am seeking part-time teaching work to help others and to keep myself busy. I have experience in setting up computers, training users on how to use computers and software; and I have been a paid proofreader and editor with over 35 years of experience in technical and nontechnical subjects.

I have proofread test pilot handbooks, engineer test and evaluations, resumes, books to be published, legal papers, and a variety of other documents.

I have a bachelor of Science degree in programming (FORTRAN and COBOL) and over 30 years of computer experience.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
