Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Genetics

I graduated with a BS in Molecular and Cellular Biology and have successfully completed many graduate level biology courses and more specifically a graduate level genetics course. As an undergraduate I tutored my peers in Genetics courses varying from Mendelian genetics, genetic theory and even lab technique. Genetics was my favorite course in college and graduate school; therefore, I am very passionate about it and enjoy solving genetics problems!

Medical Coding

I successfully passed the CPC exam in September of 2013, and completed the AAPC course on Medical Coding. I am a Certified Professional Coder with experience in doing medical billing in both hospitals and private practices. Moreover, with my biology background I will be able to help students understand the terminology involved with medical coding as well!

She is very patient and doesn't mind explaining concepts multiple times using different approaches until I completely understand them. She is a great tutor and provided me with the proper guidance to improve my GMAT scores! ...
