Music is my passion. I have degrees both in music and business from the University of Connecticut. I have taught voice and individual music classes throughout Connecticut. I specialize in the voice. My approach to vocal study is holistic. I believe success is drive over talent. I combine imagery with scientific fact to put together the voice. I offer lessons for all ages and all styles. I will offer you time tested exercises to condition the muscles of the vocal instrument and strengthen it. I use common household items for resistance purposes and to align your vocal technique. After the physical mechanism is in shape we will play with acting exercises to bring songs to life.
I address common vocal challenges such as: a break in the voice, inability to sustain high or long notes, nasality, vibrato issues, breathiness, poor posture, body tension, tremolo, accessing the flute voice, raspy sounds, legato line, staccato accuracy, maintaining pitch, and much more. I also teach all genres ranging from opera to rap and everything in between. I teach legit, classical, Broadway belt, mixed voice, character voices, head voice, chest voice, and much more.
Whether you are singing for the joy of it or preparing for an important audition, I can help you get the role or position. Never worry about your voice again. Now build your confidence to become a star in your own life on and off stage. Singing should feel good and be effortless. I am eligible for certification as a public school teacher in music k-12 and love working with kids and new students. I offer a free vocal consultation to answer any questions and discuss your goals prior to a first lesson. I also will listen to a sample of your singing if you want to send me an mp3 or YouTube clip through email for feedback. I function on a 24 hour cancellation policy. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
