I am a STEM/STEAM Education teacher and have experience in tutoring others through both colleges I previously attended and graduated from. My favorite aspect about tutoring is seeing students go from "I can't do this" to "I understand this now." Seeing minds blossom and understanding increase brings me joy. I remember everyone whom I have tutored in the past and am happy to say they still remember me and the sessions we had as well.

I also have experience in fields outside of tutoring and academia with regards to health and understanding people in different situations and walks of life. I promise to everyone I help the same thing, that I will be understanding of who you are and what you need and will help you in any way I can.

I was a Math tutor at Middlesex Community College for 2 years where I tutored Math from pre-algebra to College Algebra. In my last year of tutoring I helped one student in Math to where he went from potentially not passing to scoring just under 100 on his final.

While working at Middlesex Community College I was also an English tutor where I proofread papers in person and through online submissions. I also assisted students in reviewing papers from almost every subject and helped them to develop better grammar, sentence structure, essay formats, and development of ideas.

In Central Connecticut State University I mentored middle- and high-school students through a program known as Go Baby Go which incorporates engineering and creativity with assisting children who have mobility limitations. I also worked closely with my peers in education fields to support their learning of discipline-specific and more broad areas of learning.

I have never given up anyone whom I have tutored and I do not plan to do so anytime in the future. I promise to do everything I can to ensure future students' academic performances improve. My methods of tutoring are based on experience tutoring people with various preferences for learning and what I find to be the case for individuals on a case-by-case basis. Alo

Adobe Photoshop,

Adobe Photoshop

I am currently working towards becoming a Technology Education instructor. When I took courses in Photoshop I performed exceptionally well and hope to teach what I learned to future students. I have also explored using Photoshop outside my academic life and gained more knowledge on using the program as a result.
Video Production

Video Production

My experience in video production started before I began a degree in Technology & Engineering Education where I learned production and editing techniques through the advisement of professors as well as self exploration. In my degree, students are required to complete courses involving video production with software such as Premiere Pro and After Effects, both of which I have worked with. When I begin teaching, one area I hope to be involved in is Video Production, so I would consider myself to be comfortable and well-versed in the content.

Grammar,

Grammar

While working as an English tutor at Middlesex Community College, one of the main aspects I focused on in students' writing was to make sure they used proper grammar. Knowing how much of an impact grammar has on the meaning of words and sentences, I regularly review proper grammar skills and practice as I review. In order to keep my grammar skills at their best I read regularly and review examples of both proper and improper grammar.

Proofreading

When I was a tutor in college I proofread papers students would bring or submit to me for a variety of subjects. I would review students' papers alongside them to show what does and does not work in an essay as well as review papers on the computer and send students back a copy of their papers with annotations and revisions which were made electronically. I was so proficient in reviewing essays and paper submissions at my previous job tutoring I was able to keep our influx of essays controlled and provided students with reviews on papers within less than a day.

While I was an English tutor at Middlesex Community College a big part of what I helped students with was interpreting and understanding stories or excerpts they had read. Another big part of my tutoring career was reading students' essays and determining what each essay I read was trying to suggest or say. To keep my reading skills strong, both for myself and so that I may help others, I read regularly and encourage others to do the same.

Writing

I was previously an English tutor at Middlesex Community College where a good portion of my time was spent helping students revise and improve their writing styles. I have helped students to become stronger writers and better formulate their ideas into concepts that can be put to paper. My assistance was not limited to the times when students would be writing or reviewing their papers, but also before writing when students were coming up with different things to write about or had difficulty formulating an essay and determining where each of their ideas should go. I have also done informal writing to practice my writing skills.

My experience in sewing began with analyzing the seams of clothing, mainly jean pants when I was young. I have since taken a course in high school on sewing and fashioning clothes.
