“**So helpful, and really cares about my daughter's progress.**”

Hello! I'm glad that you're considering me to help you learn. Here's a little bit of information about me that will hopefully help you in your decision making:

As a proud 2011 graduate of Purdue University in Aerospace Engineering and a 2015 Penn State graduate in Systems Engineering, I am a strong proponent of a solid math education

Approved subjects are in **bold**.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I have spent over a year in the Middle East studying Arabic. I was awarded the US Department of State's Critical Language Scholarship for Advanced Arabic Study (in Morocco) and studied at the Arabic Language Institute in Cairo. I tutored first and second year college students in Arabic.

As a Christian, I have spent more time studying the Bible than any math book (or any other book for that matter!). Additionally, I have studied the Bible as an important piece of literature in college. Depending on students' needs and interests, we can study either Old or New Testaments.

I studied both ordinary differential equations and partial differential equations as an undergraduate student. As a graduate student, I've continued my study of differential equations, with every day applications. I recently submitted a project using non-linear differential equations to model a helicopter's slung load. I'd like to show you the power of differential equations in modeling everyday phenomena.

I have used MATLAB for about 10 years. I started to use MATLAB in my undergraduate studies for solving differential equations. I also used MATLAB/Simulink in graduate school for modeling dynamic systems. Outside of school, I have used MATLAB at my job for analyzing large data sets and have taught colleagues how to use its basic functions as well.
