After ten years as a professional physicist and college professor, I am now working in the field of computer science. I am fully competent to help students with not only physics and math, but also many topics in computer science. In addition, I studied German intensively in Bonn and Berlin and speak it fluently. This guy is brilliant, he knows the material he teaches and not only that but he knows how to make you understand it. He does not sit and simply lecture you, but he makes sure you understand the material, he pushes you and that is what really made me learn. He always says "Never suffer in silence" and if you have any questions it is very easy to reach him on the phone and ask away. I was taking college Calculus 2 and Physics 2 at the same time and got an "A" in each course thanks to Dan. C. He loves to teach, and will make sure you learn.
My daughter has had one lesson with Daniel so far and walked away feeling hopeful about grasping physics for the first time. Daniel reviewed basics with her to fill in the gaps. He is patient and kind and funny. Great rapport with teens. My daughter commented that Daniel is "SO smart" but relays his concepts in an easy to understand way. I highly recommend Daniel as a tutor so far.
Dan was able to adjust his schedule and meet with Patricia. Without Dan's help she might be struggling even more to understand the concepts. That would be a death spiral as she would become more and more frustrated with the subject.
Mr. C is an excellent teacher. He has interest and fashion to teach physics and math. I hope my daughter will pickup in AP physics.
My daughter had difficulty with both physics and precalc. He was very patient and made a significant difference in her understanding of the subject matter and her grades. I definitely plan on asking him for help again this year.
I cannot say enough about Dan. I was referred to your site from a friend who had an equally great experience with a different tutor. Immediately I had the choice of many qualified tutors in my area. I had all their information at my disposal. I emailed about 10 potential tutors. Everyone got back to me in a very timely manner which was awesome since my daughter needed help sooner than later. They all were qualified and willing to help but Dan stood out. We definitely hit the jackpot. Not only were his qualifications excellent but he has an equally good personality and a gift for teaching. Just because someone is smart, does not make them a good teacher. We are very pleased with our experience so far and after only 3 lessons my daughter's confidence has soared and she got a 91 on her first Calculus quiz. Only days before she was ready to hang it up! We still need his help and will continue to rely on Dan to get us through the rest of this class. Great site! Great tutor! Thank you!
Daniel is prompt and very thorough in his explanation of Linear Algebra topics. He is an excellent tutor for any class in higher level Mathematics and Physics.
Dan is a great tutor! He is very patient, dedicated and passionate about his work. He always goes the extra mile to make sure that his student understands. I highly recommend him!
Thanks for being flexible and willing to have a longer tutoring session with our son to help him prepare for his mid term exams.
Very patient with my son. The physics grades are improving! Dan is very patient and works hard with my son to ensure his understand of a difficult subject. I GIVE A BIG RECOMMENDATION!
I have tried several tutors for my son for calculus. Daniel should have been my first choice. My son felt very comfortable with him and Daniel's knowledge of calculus enabled my son to succeed in his class. I highly recommend him.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I am a professional scientist and hold a PhD in physics. Currently, I am employed as a
senior software engineer in the Research Division of IBM. I have used the C++ language in my work for more than 15 years, and even contributed to the port of C++ to the DEC Vax/VMS operating system. I have written large projects in C++ including a simulation of the CESR particle accelerator at Cornell University and numerous projects for IBM.
I offer a comprehensive course of C++ including basic language, concepts of object orientation, development environments, the standard library and the standard template library
I have been a professional scientist for more than 20 years. In this capacity, I have written hundreds of thousands of lines of computer code in many different languages. I was employed by the research division of IBM for 16 years as a senior software engineer. As an adjunct professor, I will be teaching the computer science department's UNIX class next semester at Western Connecticut State University.
I am an adjunct professor of computer science at Western Connecticut State University. I teach Java, Python, and UNIX. In addition, I am a senior software developer at Walker Digital in Stamford, Connecticut.
I am a professional scientist holding a PhD in physics from Caltech. I have used linear algebra in my research work for many years. When I studied the subject in college at Yale, I was given university honors for my work.
I offer a comprehensive course in Linear Algebra including vector spaces and linear functions, linear and affine coordinate transformations, matrices, solutions of simultaneous equations, and linear programming.
I am adjunct professor of computer science at Western Connecticut State University where I teach the introductory UNIX class. For this, we use an Ubuntu distribution, and in the course we learn to build and use most of the standard Linux utilities.
I graduated from Yale summa cum laude with a BS in physics and I hold a PhD in physics from Caltech. I was employed for ten years in the physics department of Cornell University as a staff scientist at the Wilson synchrotron laboratory. For the last fourteen years I have worked as a scientist in the research division of IBM at the TJ Watson Research Center.
