Hello! My name is Ryan, and I am currently a Mathematics student with a background in Education at Brandeis University, preparing for my final year of study. I work mostly in advanced prep, particularly before the school year begins. I have always loved math, especially algebra and calculus; I've been a tutor for several years for this exact reason.
In high school, I watched too many of my friends give up on the idea that they could be successful math students, simply because of one or two difficult subjects that broke their confidence. Too often, students who struggle in even a few topics can get left behind very quickly. This is where I come in!
Shortly after I graduated high school, the head of the math department asked me to come back to help fill in for a teacher who was out, leading review sessions for their classes and helping design an exam.
I've always been one to help my peers out when they were struggling with something in math, because I simply love teaching.
In addition to my years of tutoring experience, I've taught high school classes before, I earned a 5 on the AP Calculus exam, and I was the MVP of my high school's math team two years in a row. Additionally, I was invited to join Connecticut's state math team for the annual American Regions Mathematics League (ARML) National Competition.
