University of Rochester (Bachelor of Arts in Math and Statistics)
Hi! I am a professional with an actuarial background. I graduated from University of Rochester with concentration in math and statistics. I have private school math teaching experience. I have also tutored my own children in all math subjects from 8th grade through 12th, specifically Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, and Pre-Calculus. I am very familiar with the public school curriculum and college entrance exams (SAT and ACT math review).
I have a strong passion for helping young adults appreciate and enjoy mathematics. I specialize in making complex concepts simpler to understand. My goal is to help students not only achieve better grades in their current course of study but to build the foundation for success in future math classes.
My success is seeing you succeed! Math is easy with the right teacher. I look forward to helping you reach your goals! Hi! I am a professional with an actuarial background. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
