“**He's really helping our daughter**”

My name is Paul and math tutoring is my passion! I love helping students become (or continue to be) successful in mathematics.

I'm also finishing up my PhD in mathematics as well (expected completion: May 2017). I am an expert in algebra and probability, which are the focus of my dissertation. I also have both a Master's degree and a

Paul is approved to conduct lessons through Wyzant Online. Wyzant Online allows students and tutors to work remotely via video, audio, and collaborative whiteboard tools. For more information about how online tutoring works, check out Wyzant Online.

If you’re interested in online lessons, message Paul to get started.

Paul is working with our daughter on her AP Calculus final and AP exam. He's truly helping her understand and master things she's been studying for months. We are so pleased.

Paul is an exceptional tutor and we are so lucky to have found him. He is patient and explains the material in a comprehensible manner. He is readily available and always willing to find the time to help when the need arising. We have tried other tutors but without much success. Paul is an exception and we will continue to use him next school year.

Paul is able to understand what I need help with and explain it in such a way that I really get it afterwards. As I ask questions, he sees why I don't understand it and he customizes his explanation based on that.

Paul has a very high level of mathematical understanding. His patience and ability to find easily digestible lessons were very helpful. I'm glad I found him when I did. If you need help with math at ANY level I would suggest hiring Paul!

Paul did a great job of teaching me how to solve various math problems fast. He explained his mental approach to each problem and taught me several tips and tricks to get the solution. If you need help with math or anything related to pattern recognition, Paul is your guy.

Paul is very knowledgeable, especially in Discrete Math. I was a little skeptical on hiring him because I've never experienced online tutoring. Paul makes online tutoring feel like he's teaching me in person. I Have no problems with connection and I'm able to hear him loud and clear. He is able to go over, in detail, every question I have. He explains the material very well and efficiently. I feel like we go over a lot of problems in just one hour. I look forward to having more sessions with Paul and I hope to continue seeing progress in my knowledge for discrete math.

I have been working with Paul on finite math for a while, and I've always been terrible at it. But he really makes it click when I'm stumped on a concept. Paul is very good at explaining things in terms that make sense to the individual. I feel much more confident with the material

Math:

ACT Math,
Approved subjects are in **bold**.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I scored an 800 on the Math section of the SAT. I had a perfect score on the Math portion of GRE. I taught math at the University of Delaware for 7 semesters. And I have 6+ years tutoring experience.

I tutored students in MATH210 at the University of Delaware, which is a discrete mathematics course. I'm also finishing up my PhD in the field of discrete mathematics and had to pass multiple qualifying exams in the area of discrete mathematics (specifically, algebra and probability).

I taught (as both a TA and a full instructor) MATH230 at the University of Delaware for seven semesters, which is a finite mathematics course. I also have tutored students in the past in other finite mathematics courses. Finally, I'm finishing up my PhD in the field of discrete mathematics (and finite mathematics is actually a subset of discrete mathematics!).
