I'm Daniel. I graduated from Miami University with two Master's degrees: one in math and the other in physics. In grad school, I realized I absolutely love teaching. There are serious burdens placed on the student to understand mathematics and physics in their own way, but the tools for doing so are not properly emphasized.

I strongly believe that any willing student can succeed in these subjects. Time and time again, I have seen students overcome significant gaps in understanding and learning differences in order to succeed. Some students may require the same topic to be explained four different ways, but their understanding of future concepts will be greatly bolstered by this patience.

I have a year and a half of teaching experience in precalculus and two years of first-year college physics. During this time, I also tutored my peers in our classes, so I am more than capable of aiding in higher-level topics.

I, myself, continue to learn, so any resources or suggestions from students or parents is appreciated. I am easy to reach and rather enthusiastic to help, so feel free to contact me with any questions or to schedule a lesson.

I have a significant amount of experience tutoring in math. I have tutored peers from middle school to master-level mathematics. I have seen the same problems appear in many different contexts and forms and therefore am quite able to help students identify the core question in a given problem and relate it to a simpler, already solved problem.

Before become a physicist, I spent years honing my math skills and practicing explaining complex ideas to friends with little background. Physics is of the utmost interest to me, so any questions brought to me can be addressed from multiple angles, making it easier to find the mindset most enriching to my students. As a teaching assistant, I practiced anticipating student questions and formulating multiple responses so that the largest group possible could integrate the core ideas. For this, I received the distinguished graduate student teaching award from Miami University.

I absolutely love talking about math and physics. My favorite hobby is helping my friends understand the mathematics which appears in their lives. I welcome any questions from students, as it brings me true joy to help people enlighten themselves.
