Colorado State University (Art Education)
I studied art education at CSU in Fort Collins. I have focused in watercolor painting, pen and ink, ink sketching, plien aire, acrylic or drawing as well. I am currently teaching watercolor painting at three children's hospitals in the Denver area. I love to teach and help students develop their skills and knowledge.
I have many levels of exercises or can have the child select their subject. I paint animals, botanicals, cars, truck, cityscapes, children and trees, most anything. I am a member of the Colorado Watercolor Society.
I am also a licensed real estate agent.
I grew up in Arvada on a farm and have five generations of family living in this area. I do have referrals if you wish, but my paints can speak for themselves.
I have done art work for several flower and gift shops and have a line of greeting cards that I sell. I was featured at the Happy Canyon Florist in the Cherry Creek area.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I was an art major at Colorado State University. During that time I took college level courses in drawing, painting, jewelry, ceramics and weaving. All of these subjects required strong drawing skills. I have drawn since I was very young. I draw almost everyday as well as paint.
