“**Exceptional Tutor**”

My formal education was in Mathematics, especially applied Mathematics. I have spent the last 35 years in the Software Engineering field, including 6 years with Apple computer. Back when I was in college, I earned a good part of my expenses by tutoring Mathematics and Programming. I am cutting back on my full time Software Engineering work and

Danny provides exactly what a parent and student need. From a parent's perspective, he is exceptionally prompt and very accommodating in selecting a mutually good meeting location. From my daughter's perspective, he gave her the content in a way that she could understand it more thoroughly than she did before her tutoring session. My daughter posted an A in her advanced math class for the first semester after working with Danny on a consistent basis. This has been a great experience for all of us.

Danny did a great job of teaching concepts and explaining areas that were very complex. He was personable and encouraging! Highly recommended.

Danny has been a huge help to my son on parabolas and general reviews. I've noticed a big difference after only 4 sessions. I would highly recommend him for Algebra 2 tutoring. Thanks!

Danny helped my son prep for his ACT test. He came very prepared and had a whole list of websites for online help that my son could use to continue to study at home. Very helpful!

After three lessons with Danny, my daughter has made great improvement in her understanding of Algebra 2. Danny always responds promptly to my emails and is on time for every session. My daughter says he explains complicated problems clearly and breaks them down for her in a way she can understand.

Her latest exam score was a 97%! By far the highest test score she's ever received. My only regret is that we didn't hire Danny sooner. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a tutor.

My son was struggling with advanced algebra. Danny helped bring his grade up from an F to a B minus. Danny is highly skilled and professional. He is patient and explains things clearly.

My daughter thought it was a very good use of time and has a clearer understanding of what she is studying.

I took a few JAVA lessons with Mr. Danny D. and I have nothing but great things to say for Danny. His teaching style is very intriguing and he has been really patient with me (I am a newbie to programming). His knowledge and skills in JAVA are tremendous and I will definitely recommend him to everyone.

Danny did a good job with my son who needed help with certain Java concepts that were sticking points for his class project. He made the most of the 2 hour session and definitely helped my son understand things better.

Danny was able to help me with very difficult programming problems. Even though the areas I needed help with are rarely seen anymore, he was able to go back and remaster these subjects and provide good insights. I highly recommend Danny to anyone struggling with programming issues.

Approved subjects are in **bold**.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I have always loved problem solving and have used algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and calculus throughout my career in software engineering. I am now helping my own kids learn these useful tools for understanding and solving simple and complex math problems. It is a real pleasure to see the "light bulb" go off when they finally realize how to understand and solve what was just recently an incomprehensible problem.

I have been a professional Software Engineer since 1978. I started my programming career using Pascal but have programmed primarily in Java since 1997. However, I am experiences with several other languages including Groovy, Scala, and Python. I have implemented large and small systems, from games to large scale enterprise applications. I have worked for a wide variety of companies, including the very large, Apple and Union Pacific Railroad, and small start-up ventures. I have always loved problem solving and have used math and geometry since I has an outstanding geometry teach in 8th grade. It is amazing how much my geometry knowledge has been useful in a long and rewarding career in software engineering. I am now helping my own kids learn how geometry can be applied to real work problems. I have played Classical and Flamenco guitar, off and on, for the last 30 years. I have concentrated on Classical Guitar for the last 5 years, and have taken lessons.
