I have had the privilege of practicing nursing for 48 years. My nursing philosoophy is based on the Nursing Process and providing holistic, client-entered, evidence-based nursing care. I have always enjoyed teaching: I started my "official" nursing education work in 1993 during my advanced nursing education. I believe that effective communication is essential to increasing your knowledge base and securing optimal health status for clients and families.
I have always incorporated basic English composition and writing competencies into my educational plans. If your client and coworkers cannot understand you, how can you help them? To that end I feel that I can help with particular nursing and communication problems and/or issues.
I understand how important a solid nursing knowledge base is to the nurse--and everyone around. I can quickly recognize and help correct grammatical and context mistakes in a gentle, non-judgmental manner
I have been licensed since 1969, have been teaching since 1993, and I have participated in creating and evaluating NCLEX exam questions. I understand the concepts that are vital to safe nursing care delivery, and what new graduates need to know to successfully obtain their license to practice.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
Nursing faculty have been writing their exam questions in the NCLEX exam format for years. This helps students become familiar with the way questions are formatted, and also provides guidelines for learning the many nursing concepts. The goal is to provide safe, competent care to clients and their families and to protect the professional reputation of the nursing profession. I have also had experience writing NCLEX exam questions myself. I would not share any actual questions with you, but since I know how they are written, I can help you integrate the subject matter so that you can successfully answer them, pass the exam, obtain your license, and help the people that you have been preparing yourself to help.
I have published in professional journals and textbooks, so I am able to construct arguments.
