There are few things more gratifying to me than the look of satisfaction in the eyes of a student for whom the math mystery has been revealed! I have over 70 hours on Wyzant and each new student, each new challenge, brings me tremendous satisfaction!

Brenda helped me with the ACT Prep subjects in English and Math. She taught me strategies for time and content.
My daughter was really struggling in Spanish, she even considered dropping the class.
We have been working with Brenda for a few months now and my daughter has gone from and F to B+. My daughter even received a student of the month award for her great progress in Spanish.
Brenda is also very easy to work with! I am very happy that we found her!
Brenda helped my high school son with all the conic sections of Algebra 2 as well as polynomials. My son struggles with Algebra but with Brenda's help he is progressing nicely as able to understand! Thank you Brenda!
I look forward to my sessions and just LOVE her! Mrs. Brenda Moore has tutored me twice weekly for four months, and she has been an outstanding tutor! She is enormously intelligent, flexible, and able to teach with such competence and humor. She picked up my learning style immediately and her attunement, focus, and patience have been exemplary. I am a member of the baby boomer generation, with the goal of increasing my general computer skills.
Brenda is a gifted teacher that approaches each session with patience and encouragement. We are so grateful for the time and energy she's invested in helping our daughter.
Brenda tutored my daughter in AP Biology, and my daughter said that she explained everything so well. My daughter is so happy to have found someone that can help her.
Brenda has been tutoring our daughter for over a year and just started tutoring our son. My husband noted last week that he was so impressed because how comfortable my son was working with her because of her warm demeanor. Already seeing great things.
We have had Brenda as our daughter's math tutor for several years now. My daughter has dyslexia and Brenda is able explain Math in such a fun, concise manner that Nicole actually looks forward to her tutoring sessions. We are very fortunate to have found such an wonderful tutor.
Ms. M has been an excellent tutor. We use our time efficiently and she assigns a fair amount of meaningful and useful work. Her flexibility and her great ability to communicate makes our sessions run smoothly and leaves me learning more. I cannot express how much I appreciate her help with the ACT!
Brenda is a gifted tutor and a simply wonderful person. In addition to her thorough understanding of the subject matter - whether physics or calculus, in our case - she has the rare ability to re-inspire confidence in a student who's become demoralized. My son went from "I'll never, ever get calculus" to "I've totally got this" within a single term thanks to Brenda's guidance. I cannot recommend her highly enough.
Brenda is very patient and a great teacher. She helped to improve my son's grade and he is more confident with his coursework.
Brenda helped me improve my math score by 8 points. I went from a composite ACT of 25 to a composite of 30 which is remarkable. It was a great experience working with her.
She taught me algebra. She is encouraging, nice and patient. I didn't like that while I was working on the problems that she checked her phone often.
Brenda is a great tutor. My son loves her!!! She has a lot of patience and loves her subject and her students. Very happy!!!
Brenda is a wonderful teacher. Clear and spot on. My son is just loving her tutoring! In two weeks, his mark went from a B to an A! Well done, Brenda!
Thanks for the glowing review, Gloria! Much appreciated!
My son didn't want a tutor, he was very upset that I got one for him. After his first lesson with Brenda, we walked her out to her car, and he came in the house, fist pumped in the air and said, "YES, I love her." That's when I knew I made the right choice! He's confident going into class now, and taking tests. We still have more learning to do, so we'll be studying and reviewing over the summer break. Brenda truly is a fabulous tutor! 100% recommended!
My son has a major test today, and Brenda made time for him last night to review the test material. We can't thank her enough! Highly recommended!
Brenda is a patient tutor. She allows me to go at my own pace, I am using her for algebra 2 and micro. She explains concepts thoroughly, yet in a way that can be understood.
Brenda helped our son get organized with study materials and reviewed key concepts to ensure that he has the tools he needs to nail his final.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have taught Sunday School for more than 30 years. Having read through the bible several times, I have written religious literature which has been used as a curriculum both in the U.S. and internationally. I am a spirit-filled Christian and I pray and seek God daily for an understanding of his Word.
I have facilitated seminars and classes for more than 30 years. I was a part of the Learning and Development program at Aurora Loan Services where I taught in front of large groups as a result of my work with the Implementation Team. At my church, I regularly address large groups.
As a mother of five and an instructor to at least 50 children over my life time, I have guided students in developing study skills for many years. I have seen this as a very natural outgrowth of the academic support I have provided. Study skills are somewhat subject specific and I would plan to present guidelines based on the particular academic area.
