About Carolyne

I provide information that empowers parents and college bound students to make better decisions regarding the correct school choices, field of study and associated career paths. To do this well I use science, technology, and people to create a single point of access that allows students and their families to align, making the best choices regarding an educational and Career path, thus avoiding loss of time and money.

Engaging in education is my passion and I have dedicated my life to it. I have a BA in Phenomenological Psychology from the University of Dallas, a philosophical approach to psychology. Ultimately one could say that my degree is in Philosophy. In addition, I have 13 years of experience with teaching a very demanding elementary and secondary curriculum. I have experience with K-12 with an emphasis in the Great Books of the Western World in secondary education. My experience extends to college preparatory counseling, specifically in pursuit of highly competitive colleges. I am now certified through UCLA as a College Admissions Counselor.

I give each and every child the utmost patience and the absolute best attention to help them succeed. I give my all to each and every session in which my enthusiasm easily translates to the student and gets them inspired to want to learn more. Being well-educated is priceless, and I want to pass that on to anyone who is able and willing.

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

There are many fabulous colleges that could be the right one, please let me be the one to help you find your home away from home. College years are the best years of your life. Find the right fit!

Great Tutor!

Carolyne is a great tutor! She helped my 9-year-old with her reading, writing, and handwriting. She was able to get through a lot of material during each session. I highly recommend her!
