Hi! My name is Bojana, and I am a graduate student pursuing a PhD in optical physics. I have been working as a college-level physics tutor and teaching assistant for four years, and it has been my pleasure to work with students of all skill levels in a variety of subjects. Hi! My name is Bojana, and I am a graduate student pursuing a PhD in optical physics. I have been working as a college-level physics tutor and teaching assistant for four years, and it has been my pleasure to work with students of all skill levels in a variety of subjects. Physics is my passion, and I love teaching other people to love it as well!

Before coming to Wyzant, I spent two years working in a one-on-one tutoring center where students came in for help with course concepts and homework problems. As tutors we were expected to have full mastery of our subjects; because we worked with students from all courses, it was impossible to anticipate what questions would be asked each day. I have learned how to tailor my teaching approach to accommodate a variety of learning styles, and feel comfortable working with long-term teaching engagements as well as one-off lessons. I have also worked as a teaching assistant and grader for several physics courses, so I am very familiar with the college physics curriculum and what professors want you to know.

Physics is a famously confusing subject for many people, and, as someone with a lot of experience in this field, I am able to break down difficult concepts into everyday language. I take great care to explain the physical reasoning behind the equations teachers and professors may show you. My goal is that every student leaves our tutoring session not merely having solved their homework problem, but understanding exactly what they were doing every step of the way.

In addition to physics, I also tutor algebra I and II, calculus I and II, multivariable calculus, and linear algebra. As a PhD student, I use math every day in my research and know how to link abstract math homework to its real-world applications. Understanding how to use math as a tool makes it much easier to know how to get started on a problem and plays a major role in whether or not students will remember (or care) about their coursework long-term.
