Colorado School of Mines (Chem. Biochem. Eng.)
I am a former T.A. from Red Rocks Community College. Some of the classes that I T.A. for were chemistry and biology classes. I have some experience tutoring Biology 1,2; Anatomy Physiology 1,2; all math (up to differential equations) and Russian Language. I love seeing students understand main concepts and using them in real life. The most exciting part is when they go, "Oh, I get it now!" and I do my best to supplement that!
I am currently a senior at Colorado School of Mines, earning my chemical engineering degree. I love math, physics and all of the science classes. Therefore, I am pretty sure I could make these subjects fun even for children that don't think it's cool yet.
I was born in Moscow and lived there most of my life. I went to a dental school in Moscow, but then decided to move out here and pursue a biochemical engineering degree instead. I loved Russian when I was in school and did very well in it.
It took me a while to figure out how to understand English and build sentences. The main help with that was a lot of reading. I am a very patient person, so if there are serious problems with reading, we could talk about the right approach for the student to see reading in a different way.
I love kids, mainly because I have a brother that's 16 years younger and I had to teach him a lot of elementary school subjects including Math, Reading, Writing and of course science.
I will do everything I can to help anyone that wants to learn!

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
