“**Awesome Tutor!**”

Confidence is one of the most important aspects of academic achievement. I build student confidence by asking questions and creating a scaffold for students to learn with. This formula encourages students to take an active role in their learning. When students find the answers themselves, they are much more likely to remember those answers when

Was very knowledgeable about math and chemistry, really helped me be well-prepared and confident for the SAT Subject tests, and also answered questions about ACT and college applications. Would definitely recommend!

Dillon has been working with my daughter for 3 weeks now, twice a week. Before he started, I am one of those Dads who had to interview the candidate to my satisfaction. Dillon not only was kind enough to spend an hour with me on the phone, meet me in person with in his relaxed manor, he also more than convinced me that he was very dedicated to his joy of seeing his client's needs and help them to achieve there fullest potential. I highly recommended him for your tutor needs no matter which angle you are coming from to achieve improvement in your child's life. I wish I had found him when I was in school as he is genuine and unique... thank You Dillon and Wyzant. He is doing a great job with our daughter and she enjoys their time together!

Dillon saved my Stats grade--he was very patient, positive, and efficient! After two hours I had a better grasp on the material than I'd had after several weeks of class. Thanks, Dillon!

I needed help with some basic statistics problems. In one lesson, Dillon made things clearer for me in an hour-and-a-half than my teacher has in five weeks. Granted, I don't have the best stats prof, but Dillon was great nonetheless.

Dillon has done a great job showing my daughter HOW to solve the calculus problems and she is attributing her success on this first test after starting tutoring sessions with Dillon to his approach that he showed her. The weekly sessions are also providing good structure for her. Thanks!!

On the first lesson, Dillon identified problem areas and formulated a plan to improve speed of problem solving. Very pleased!

Dillon has a great way of helping me understand the correct way to solve an equation, and remember how it was done for later use. He allows me plenty of time to take notes and makes sure I understand before we move on to the next item. I would recommend him to anyone who is struggling with math because he is so easy going, and genuine in his desire to help.

I have some cognitive issues as the result of a massive head trauma, and it can often take me a long time for things to 'sink in" but Dillon is always willing to try and find another way to help so I understand what he is teaching me if the first way is not working.

I highly recommend Dillon, and cannot thank him enough for his help!

Approved subjects are in **bold**.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Test taking has always been a unique strength of mine. One of the skills that has allowed me to succeed is time management, a key skill during tests that isn't trained in other parts of instruction. My math skills are rigorous and my test skills are exactly what students need to succeed.

Science on the ACT is all about logic. Finding logical conclusions from information given is my strongest skill. By asking simple questions you can make the Science portion of the ACT a breeze!

The best way to succeed in Algebra is to focus on 2 things: What is the goal, and what tools do we have to get there? By asking those questions on problems, students are able to identify what they need. I am there to give them the tools to get there.

I've tutored Algebra 2 at Jefferson High School in the past, and found many ways to explain the concepts in ways that stick.

Biology is a fascinating subject that relies on memorization and vocabulary. I have the tools for students to use so they can always remember what a certain organ does. I also have backup plans for students, so that they can figure something out by the structure of words or phrases.

Calculus is best learned by following the rules very closely. Deliberate work leads to fewer mistakes. One of the easiest ways to save time is to remove the need to fix your mistakes. Following this plan long enough leads to consistently high performance and improved speed.

I have graduated from Colorado School of Mines with a BS in Chemical and Biochemical Engineering. I have experience tutoring in this area in the past through my work as a teacher's assistant and a general resource for my underclassmen friends. I have also been a math tutor at Jefferson JR/SR High school, and know how to create scaffolding for greater understanding from students as they can start to see and recognize patterns. When students make the connections themselves, they are a much more easy resource for them to remember and reuse in the future.

I graduated from Colorado School of Mines, with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering. Chemistry is an incredibly useful science and it can be used to help in all sorts of problems. I have tutored my fellow underclassmen at Mines in their chemistry in the past, and they always attributed part of their success to my help.

I have a degree in Engineering, which requires knowledge of differential equations. I have experience tutoring through my work as a teacher's assistant and a general resource for my underclassmen friends.

I have always been patient working with younger students. I can always find a way to get students involved so that learning is more memorable. These are the most important parts of learning math, so starting strong is key!

I've always been good at taking tests, and I share my knowledge and process for acing tests with all my students.

I tutored Geometry students at a High School. From understanding the "Why" of proofs to using all kinds of tools to calculate that angle, I have it covered.

In my time at Colorado School of Mines, Excel was always a tool I was using. From Sophomore to Senior years, I used Excel for nearly every assignment at some point. Even since graduating I use it to organize and make calculations in my everyday life.

I have a degree in Chemical and Biochemical Engineering, which requires knowledge of Organic Chemistry. I have experience tutoring through my work as a teacher's assistant and a general resource for my underclassmen friends.

I have been helping fellow students in physics problems since I was a student in those classes myself. I always have a simple path to the answer that I love to share with students.

Ive tutored 7th and 8th grade math at Jefferson High School, including Prealgebra concepts. I've boiled my methods down to establishing a firm foundation for learning that doesn't get forgotten.

Ive tutored seniors at Jefferson High School in precalculus, and found ways to solidify knowledge gained so it is easy to recall.

I use probability in my everyday life all the time, and frequently tutored the probability class at Jefferson High School. It's one of my favorite subjects for its uses in the world and how it can influence decision making.

Test taking has always been a unique strength of mine. One of the skills that has allowed me to succeed is time management, a key skill during tests that isn't trained in other parts of instruction. My math skills are rigorous and my test skills are exactly what students need to succeed.

Statistics is an incredibly important subject to know in modern times. I use it all the time to determine whether or not experimental findings are significant or if they need more evidence. I understand the ins and outs of its limitations and how to use it wisely.

Trigonometry is an important subject to keep in your mind, as a triangle is the most basic and fundamental shape in the universe. Understanding them thoroughly can make even the most basic decisions much easier to make.
