Hello, I have been tutoring college students in a variety of subjects for over 5 years. I also have experience tutoring high school and even younger aged students. I received my Bachelor's degree from the University of Central Florida in 2010 in Psychology and completed my Master's degree in Statistical Computing with a focus on Data Mining. My favorite tutoring areas are Statistics and Math (up to Intermediate Algebra). I am also available to tutor test prep for GMAT Math, GRE Math (score: 750), ACT math, and SAT math (score: 680) as I am very good with the types of questions asked on these tests. Tutoring for me has been the best and most rewarding job I have had to date and I truly enjoy working one-on-one with other students.

Ryan is AMAZING. I took my first GRE exam with no help and got a 400 in the Quantitative Section. With a week before my second GRE exam I met with Ryan everyday...he helped me raise my score 130 points! 530 on my second attempt in the Quantitative section. What a life saver he is. I would totally recommend him!
Ryan is very knowledgable and has a gift for teaching. He was great at identifying the concepts I needed to work on and was able to explain things several different ways. He made sure I understood before we moved on and was happy to answer all of my many questions. If you are looking to up your skills he is your guy!
I'm studying for the GMAT and math is not my strong suit. Ryan has been great to work with and so helpful. He makes things much easier to understand.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I worked with children throughout my high school career through a soccer association as a referee and coach, and feel comfortable working with children in an educational environment. I prefer tutoring math since that is my strong subject and I feel confident I am able to help K-6th students with their mathematics coursework. In Elementary school I was placed in gifted classes which put me at the Algebra 2 level once I arrived in high school. Through college I have taken up to calculus 3 as well as various statistical courses as I am beginning a Master's program in Statistics in the Fall of 2011.
I have been programming in SAS for a little over 5 years and am certified in SAS Base 9 as well as Predictive Modeling in SAS Enterprise Miner. SAS uses include data management, process automation, statistical processing, and data gathering (using PROC SQL). I have also trained several corporate employees on basic SAS programming skills.
I played competitive and non-competitive soccer for 10 years. Teams have included state, national, travel, recreational, and middle school soccer. I have also been a referee as well as soccer coach for 12 years.
I have extensive experience tutoring for all subjects/sections appearing on the TEAS math section. I also have some experience tutoring for the actual test. Standardized testing is one of my favorite areas to tutor. I have helped many student raise their scores in math as I am very comfortable with the structure and types of questions asked on the TEAS and other tests.
