About Ryan

I am a former combat veteran who ended up in Colorado based on advice from my roommate. Originally I wanted to be a high school teacher. I even was accepted to Colorado State University as a secondary school art education major. I listened to everyone around me and studied science instead. After a few years kicking around as a scientist I realized I am a Teacher and my calling is teaching and training people.

While in high school I knew I wanted to teach and while in the U.S. Army I fell in love with teaching. I was an infantryman cross trained as a combat medic. I taught combat casualty care to large classes and worked one on one with soldiers on marksmanship and trauma simulations. Later on I coached soldiers and veterans participating in Crossfit and helped guide people through exercise and nutrition resources. I helped fellow students in difficult classes such as physical chemistry while in college and I love every minute I get to help others. I love tutoring and teaching because it is fun helping people achieve their goals.

I have excelled in college level course work in Mathematics including, Calculus I, II, and III, Differential Equations and Advanced Calculus. I am currently in a Master's Program for Secondary Math Education.

I have experience as an analytical chemistry laboratory manager. I earned degrees in both biology and biochemistry from Colorado State University. While working as an undergraduate researcher I coauthored a paper published by Neurochemistry International. I have also worked in evolutionary ecology, pharmaceutical, and water quality laboratories.

I have a very broad background and try to tie in real world applications to dry material whenever I can. My goal is that after working together you will not only learn about a particular subject, but also about learning strategies you can apply towards anything you do! Message me with any questions you have about my service. Let's schedule a session. See you soon!
